New ways to meet new friends [Closed to James Riddle]

James strolled through the central alley, searching for an empty table. However, since the heavy rain prevented them from wandering the grounds, many students had taken refuge in the library, and the usually silent place now resonated with whispers.

Spotting a desk where only one person was sitting, he headed towards it. "Do you mind if I sit here?" he inquired in a low voice to the boy, interrupting him in his reading. "Oh, hey Leo." he murmured, recognizing his housemate.

"I'm just looking for a quiet place to do my homework." he replied while taking out his Herbology textbook, along with a parchment and his quill from his bag. "The Common Room was too crowded, so I decided to come here. It's usually pretty silent. How about you?"

James nodded and turned his attention back to his own schoolbook, not wanting to disturb Leonardo in his studying. Until the Ravenclaw spoke again. James remained thoughtful for a second, wondering what he could reply. What had been going on? For one, they had finally been granted permission by Professor Umbranox to visit the Restricted Section, and he was impatient to see if it stored anything new related to the Lost Library. Yet that was not something he was ready to share with someone he had just met.

"Nothing in particular." he ended up saying. "What about you?"
