The Stunning Spell

Please pick a partner.

Professor Sexton

Peter had set the chairs to the side, as usual, and was standing by his desk waiting for the students to show up. Because of the cold weather, there was a cart next to his desk with cookies, brownies and hot beverages for the students to enjoy while the class gathered.

Because Saryana had begun to forget to actually go to classes on time and even be late for them, she had made sure to be well aware of the time. Not because she was scared but because she hoped for one thing - to be a prefect in her fifth year. And going late to class wouldn't help her gain that title. So she made sure to actually come on time later on. She told the librarian to keep tab on the time and to tell her when she should be finishing whatever she was reading. Like she did now - ten good minutes before she should be heading off for class, she had been warned. Quickly did she leave the book in it's place and after that - walked towards class.

With a certain pride and happiness did she find out that she was the first one in the classroom. Perfect! That defiantly payed up for being late the last time! Keeping her best not to smirk, she quickly greeted the teacher and walked up to the cart, eyeing what was on it. Not particularly hungry at the moment, she only took a cup of tea, glad to see that it was there. Though, honestly, what cart with hot beverages in a British school wouldn't have tea? The most greatest drink in the world... Green, Earl Grey, doesn't matter. Actually, iced tea was weird. But besides that, tea was perfect.

As she waited, she read what was on the board. Pick a partner? Though there wasn't anyone in here yet, they were bound to show up later. And she knew no one, absolutely no one with whom she could pair with. Thinking back to people in her year and the year above, she tried to think with who she could work with. The two fifth year Slytherins wouldn't work, considering they were probably a couple or something. And there was also... Who else was there? Did she really only remember those two... Not that she could be blamed, both were loud and weird enough to be remembered quickly. Sipping out of her tea, she waited to see anyone else that could work for this.
