| Usually, the library would be the last place someone like her would be caught. However, it was the start of a new term, she'd almost failed last term, and she needed to prove that she could pass, or else she'd be forced to go to a "normal" school.
She sat down at a mahogany table and cracked open a book, reluctantly looking away from the fashion magazine that sat on the other side of the table. She needed a friend, a shopping partner, someone to gossip with, but this school was lacking. There weren't many students, which she was sorta thankful for. She hated the crowds at Hogwarts.
Daddy had always been serious about her grades and her personal life. He wanted her to be safe. He wanted her to make a living and be smart. He only wanted the est for her. He didn't want her dating, his shotgun proved that. He wasn't mean, he was nice and always there for her to talk to, but she was a woman now. She was 13 and daddy needed to realise that. If she failed and couldn't get a good career then it was her problem, not his.
Serafina stared down at the book and tried to make sense of it. She hated the classes they offered here. Why couldn't they offer fashion design? Makeup and beauty? How to look young despite your age? She wasn't paying attention to her surroundings. She never noticed the laughing. She didn't notice the person who sat down beside her. In fact, she didn't notice them until they got considerably louder and kicked her chair. | |
