Some Things You Just Can't Prevent (Open)

Alone. Well in his mind anyways. There were students walking around and sitting and chatting amongst themselves and professors going about their business but he was lost in thought.

He couldn't get the images of that day out of his head and it hurt. To know he survived and his little brothers hadn't tore him to the core. He had no idea what had attacked him but he had a clue and to be honest it scared him. He didn't like to say the word or even think it nowadays. Werewolf. He knew in the back of his mind that it was the creature that had attacked them. He was so lucky to have survived but that day was forever burned into his memory. The screams and cries as his brothers were viciously attacked by the werewolf. If he hadn't been thrown into the bushes he would have surely suffered the same fate.

He was leaning against a tree just listening to the sounds around him. He had changed and maybe some of it was better but he knew that it would only get worse. His heightened hearing and other senses. He keen smell. Those he didn't really care about. But this hunger in him for more rare meat and the moodiness that had enveloped him scared him. Just seeing the moon frightened him and he knew that the closer a full moon was the worse it would get for him and then knowing that he could hurt someone he cared about or liked? He just didn't know what to do and was scared to tell anyone.

Opening his eyes he looked around and thought that anyone here could be a victim if he turned and couldn't help it.
