Random Practice.

Lucy walked into the Quidditch Pitch with her broom in hand. It had.been only a short time since their second flying lesson, and she was still a biy disappointed with herself so the decided to practice on her own for a little bit. This was the sort of thing she always did with Wade, but he was so much better than her, and she wanted to feel good at something without having Wade overshadow her. As much as she lived him, she didn't like it when he took advantage of his better skills.
Once on the broom that she had taken from the classroom, she realized she hadn't yet asked Professor Clark if she could use it. She made a note to tell him about her mistake later, and hoped he'd understand. As she darted up and beging flying toward the rings, she felt the wind in her face and smiled. She flew around for a while, gaining speed as the minutes passed. A flash of eed passed her eyes, and the some yellow. Stopping , she noticed it was Shah and Daisee, the new girl she had met during History of Magic. Lowering herself on her broom, she waved at them.

Daisee excitedly ran ahead of her fellow Gryffindor friend Shah and mounted her broom with ease. As she flew freely around the pitch, she reveled in the feeling. As a Muggleborn, she didn't think she would be good at any of the wizarding stuff, but for some reason, this came easily to her. Maybe it was her great-cousin's blood running through her that was responsible for it. Whatever the case, she was grateful for this.

As she did a U-turn around the Quaffle rings, she saw a cloud of blonde from the corner of her eye. Oh, it was Lucy Malfoy, the girl who had introduced herself in History of Magic! Gripping her Cleansweep Five with one hand, she lifted the other to wave back at the Slytherin girl, who seemed to have noticed her and Shah first.

"Hey, Lucy!" Daisee grinned. "What brings you here?"

"Hey, Lucy!" Daisee greeted her, "What brings you here?"
Lucy flew towards them. "Oh, I just wanted to get a little practice on my own before actual practice begins. What about you?"

Daisee nodded in understanding as Lucy answered her question. "Same here!" Daisee replied. "I'm thinking about trying out for Beater- but now I'm not so sure. I might be better suited for duelling." She paused. "However, I figure it's always good to learn how to smack an iron ball at opponents with precision, don't you think?" She grinned enthusiastically before studying Lucy in curiosity.

"What position are you hoping for?"

"I'm the Seeker for Slytherin." she answered proudly. "And I think you'd be great as a Beater; Wade tried out for it too and he got it. You should try it, because the Duelling League won't start soon, I think." She told her, hoping she wouldn't get disappointed.

Daisee frowned as she heard that the Duelling League wouldn't start for a while, but she decided not to let it bother her. "Well, then I'll definitely be trying out for Gryffindor Beater then!" She smiled. "And I tihnk you'd do great as a Seeker as well."

Grinning mischievously, she added, "So you'll just have to remember I'll be aiming all my Bludgers at good players. So technically, it's a compliment, right?"

With that, she flew away laughing. She liked the feel of the wind in her hair.
