LEVI ARCHER

Levi Archer 19s5f8

Full Name: Levi Paul Archer
Gender: Male
Birthday: 19 February 2003
Age: 30
Blood: Halfblood
Birth Place: Oxford, England
Nationality: English
Current Residence: Oxford, England

Levi Archer 9qbsdu

Family:
Levi’s parents met in a rather… untraditional manner, it could be said. Levi’s mother originates from Hong Kong, and is a very intelligent woman to say the least. After finishing in a top school in China, Meihui had asked her father if she could leave the country to pursue a degree in Britain’s finest university – Oxford University.

Meihui’s father had agreed, and come September of that year, an eighteen year old woman had left her home country, and entered in to a whole new world. The beginning of her first term was quite difficult for Meihui, not because of any language barriers, she was very well versed in English before she’d left for England, but because the culture was so very, very different.

This led Meihui to visit many bars across the city of Oxford, and her grades had suffered considerably in this time, to the extent her father had been called over to discuss Meihui’s future. After a lengthy discussion, it was agreed Meihui could stay on, so long as she got her grades back up, and quickly.

This was, in essence where Leeroy Archer came in to the ball park. He was, to pretty much everyone, the oddball at the university, some three years older than Meihui but on the same course. Meihui had not been sure on Leeroy to begin with, his mannerisms were quirky to say the least, but he thrived in the classes. Leeroy, a couple of weeks after Meihui’s meeting with the valedictorians, had offered to help Meihui through the rest of the course, to make sure she could stay on.

The beginning was awkward, neither of them would lie about that. Leeroy’s enthusiasm for Mathematics concerned Meihui, whilst Meihui’s beauty had captivated Leeroy to the point where he couldn’t exactly control himself as he spoke and ended going off on a tangent (no pun intended) about the subject they were studying.

Meihui survived the year at university, and the subsequent three (including her Masters degree) with the support of the man who had quickly become her best friend.

It was on the night of their graduation that Leeroy had asked Meihui if she would go on a date with him, and she had accepted without a second thought. From there, their relationship had only flourished in to something more beautiful. Meihui moved in with Leeroy after graduation, getting a job in Cheltenham, not too far from their Oxford home, in a division that dealt with national security.

It was at this point, that Leeroy had gone quiet on his own work.

Meihui had allowed the silence to go on for six months, hoping he would come clean about his job, but Leeroy never did. So, one Friday night, Meihui had cooked her boyfriend his favourite dinner, and sat waiting for him to come home. The hour drew later, and the food grew colder, Meihui’s temper grew shorter. At one in the morning, Leeroy rolled in, looking thoroughly beaten by the day. Meihui had allowed a small gasp to come from her lips, before hurrying forward and helping him in to a chair, asking over and over again what had happened.

Leeroy had pulled her in to his lap in that moment, and explained everything. What he did, who he really was, and why he hadn’t been able to tell her. Leeroy Archer was a wizard, and a very competent one at that. He’d finished Hogwarts at eighteen, and then went to a wizarding university, getting a degree in offensive and defensive magic. He’d tried Muggle university on a whim (and a good decision too as he came out with a first) before going back in to the Wizarding world as an Auror.

Meihui had not believed him, she’d laughed in his face at the information she’d been given, but he had not looked so serious in all his life. After sobering from her laugh, Meihui had burst in to tears, asking him what they were supposed to do, Leeroy had simply looked at her in confusion, a single word tumbling from his lips ‘Do?’

Meihui had moved his hand to her stomach, looking in to his eyes with more worry than he’d ever seen before. The realisation of what she was saying dawned on him, and he’d held her close. They’d sat quietly for hours, Leeroy not knowing what to say, and Meihui too scared to voice her concerns.

That had been thirty years ago, now, Meihui and Leeroy live happily in the same house they’ve always lived in. Madly in love as if they were still teenagers. Married now, and aged by the years that had gone by. Leeroy gave up magical work fifteen years ago, instead moving to be a banker in the Muggle world, to soothe his wife’s worries.

History:
Levi had not been a planned child, but he was not an unwanted child, either. His parents had simply left caution to the wind a few too many times, and had ended up with a son in the middle of February of 2003. He’d been loved, instantly, by both of his parents, because they were simply way too proud to have worried about anything else in that moment.

From a very early age, Levi had been an explorer. From the moment he had learnt to crawl (or rather, drag himself across the floor) he’d been getting just about anywhere he could. Sometimes, his mother would find him in the most peculiar of places – he’d gotten in to the washing machine more than once because it made a great sound when you squealed inside of it! There had also been the time he’d managed to make a fort in the dog’s bed from a mass of leaves that had fallen down on the ground outside. There was no such thing as too much fun to the small Archer child.

As he grew, Levi didn’t falter from being adventurous, which showed when he was sorted in to Gryffindor. His father had been a Ravenclaw, which meant that Levi felt a huge relief when he stepped off the stool and hurried to the Gryffindor table. As much as he loved his father, he wanted to make his own way at school.

And, Levi did just that.

Through the years, he earnt himself countless detentions with his best friend, Owen. The two of them had been inseparable throughout the years, trying out for the house Quidditch team together. Levi had become the keeper in his third year, and Owen a beater for the team. They’d risen through the leagues of popularity from that point, which came with many advantages – especially for Owen who got all of the attention from the girls because of his enviable levels of confidence with them.

The distraction of Quidditch would be what Levi put down to his lack of interest in school, his head filled with the idea of joining a Quidditch team when he left was what drove him to work harder at the sport.

However, when he left school, hurrying along to the Chudley Cannons for a trial, Levi was heavily disappointed to be told he was not of the ‘right physique’ to play for any team. Thoroughly crushed by this news, Levi turned to Healing. It was different, but it had always been his back-up plan.

After four long years learning the right Healing techniques, Levi had joined St Mungo’s for the next five years, working hard to getting noticed in the field.

It was just after his twenty seventh birthday that Levi put in his CV to the Hollyhead Harpies to work as the field medic for the Quidditch team. Wanting a change of scenery from the A&E department, Levi was allowed to join the team, and was shortly after accepted.

He’s been working with the Harpies for the last two and a half years now, and he’s not looked back since.

Levi Archer 1zecfhc

Appearance: Levi is relatively tall, standing at just short of six foot tall, if asked, he would say six foot, but if you actually measured, he would fall just short of that claim. He’s relatively slim, yet not a skinny man, average build, would probably be the best way to describe him to another person, though he wouldn’t like to have been called ‘average’ in any kind of manner. Levi has light muscle definition, mainly found in his arms, the rest of his body while having muscle, it is not defined like many men strive for recently.

Whilst at work, Levi likes to look professional, a shirt and tie with a set of smart shoes and trousers is the best look. He doesn’t go for a suit jacket because he feels this would be too much of a professional look, and he wishes to be approachable. Away from work, Levi likes to dress down a lot, usually in a pair of sweatpants, and on occasion a shirt, Levi likes to be rid of the uptight nature of the rest of the world, and just be himself.

Levi likes to keep his short black hair neatly styled as best he can, but if the mussed up style is what works for that day, he isn’t afraid to go with that, either. Levi’s eyes are the same as his mother’s, a very dark brown that can often be mistaken for black if the lighting is not good enough. Many a woman has commented on his ‘black’ eyes and the meaning of them, and Levi has shrugged it off, with a small laugh. Only those who are really looking can see the truth of what they hold.

Personality:
Likes
Quidditch: From a young age – when he had been trusted enough to know that his father was magical – Levi has loved Quidditch. It has been one of the only sports Levi has ever followed closely. His favourite team is the Hollyhead Harpies – though he picked this long before he found out his attraction to women.

The ladies: Whilst Levi is by no means overly confident in this area, his like (and respect) for women is unarguable.

Dogs: From a young age, Levi has always wanted a dog. Unfortunately, Meihui is allergic to the animals, so he could never have one. So, whenever he sees dogs, he makes the most of the time he gets to spend with them.

Helping others: With learning the medical profession comes the uncanny like for helping others in need. Levi will come to another’s aid without a second thought about what could happen to him.

Travelling: With family across the other side of the world, and parents who have more than enough money to see them through, Levi has seen much of the world and savours it.

Thrill Seeking: Anything that gets the adrenaline going is a place where you would find Levi.

Dislikes
Astronomy: The subject was always much too wishy washy for Levi’s liking, and therefore he could never get behind it at school. Much like Divination, he felt there was too much put on ideologies that were outdated hundreds of years ago.

School: Whilst his parents succeeded in the school environment, Levi was never overly interested in pushing himself. Therefore, he finished Hogwarts with just enough to get in to the Healing profession he wanted, but didn’t push for the high end grades that he could have achieved with a little more focus.

Strengths
Healing: Whilst Levi didn’t push himself when he was in Healing school, he achieved the degree no less, and is now one of the members of the Healing Wizard Community.

Gentle: Despite his reckless nature (and thrill seeking life style) when he is in work mode, or the situation insists upon it) Levi is a very gentle man, he knows compassion, and he knows how to work a situation to make the other person involved feel much better.

Ability to work outside his comfort zone: Levi has spent many years under the pressure of saving people’s lives, in many different ways, and is therefore quite comfortable in jumping in to situations that many people would not like to find themselves in. Morbid though it is, Levi relishes on these moments.

Bilingual: It would be pretty silly not to speak his mother’s tongue, wouldn’t it?

Weaknesses
Not having a routine: Levi loves to work to a routine, not having a routine is like trying to complete a dot-to-dot puzzle with half of the numbers incomplete. Why would you do that to yourself? Though, of course, his job does make it nearly impossible for him to plan anything, so this ends up with Levi becoming stressed most days from deviations in his plans.

Rules: Levi never really had much regard for rules, and thus, he can often be found trying to get around them. He doesn’t act out for attention, or when he knows the rule might be in place for a reason, but the silly rules… well, they’re fun to break, aren’t they?

Change: Levi likes things to work as they do all the time – when change is implemented, he likes to resist it to begin with, and then, if that doesn’t work, he takes his sweet ass time trying to come around to it.

Boggart
Levi’s boggart would take the form of himself having achieved nothing with his life. Finding himself grown old, alone in the world, with nothing to show for what he has done in all his years. Levi has never faced his Boggart, however, as he skived the Defence Against the Dark Arts lesson when it was covered – mainly out of fear for what he would see if he came face to face with one.

Patronus
Levi has never managed to produce a Patronus, he is not bothered by this fact, either. As all of the Defence Against the Dark Arts books state, only truly powerful wizards could conjure a Patronus, and Levi knew he was not one of those people.

Levi muttered softly to himself – words of little meaning to anyone other than those in the Healing profession – his wand was pressed against the witch’s arm before him, his face contorted with concentration in that moment. The squeals of pain from the witch before him was enough to make any other man feel queasy, but Levi knew the sounds like any other.

Pain.

Pain was not a new concept to him, it probably would never become as scary to him as it had been the first night he’d been on A&E, but he knew that he had to work fast. “You’re gonna be okay.” He added once the spell he’d spoken was finished, another shriek of pain. Excellent, Levi thought to himself, realising that was probably not the best thought to have, but having it no less. The shriek was simply because the bone was now refusing in the witch’s arm, and it was a very painful process.

Two…

One…

The anguished sounds ceased, the witch’s sweating brow furrowed, and Levi gave her a small smile that verged on a smirk at his triumph. “How are you feeling?” He asked softly, flexing the arm as a cheer came from above them.

“Much better now…” Eva replied, giving him a thankful smile. For a moment, it looked like she was going to get up, remount her broom.

“I don’t think so!” Levi said firmly, putting a hand on her shoulder and pushing her back down on the bench. “Your game is over for today. But I’ll get you back in to training in the next couple of days. That was a bad break!” Levi told her, checking the arm once more and then nodding to himself. “Couple o’ days rest, then you’ll be good as new.”

It was the perk of the job, really. Fixing the players up, and getting a front row ticket to every game. Levi couldn’t really ask for much more… not really.
