| Ella pushed the pink pram up the streets of Diagon Alley towards Floreans. It was a cold Christmas Eve, but she was in the mood for some ice cream. Emma slept peacefully in the pram, snow falling all around, seems like they'd finally have a white Christmas. She wore a cute little first Christmas outfit and was swaddled in several blankets. The bell chimed as she pushed the door open, taking a seat at the bar, she ordered some cider flavoured ice cream. Without missing a beat, little Emma began whining. Bending over to pick the tiny child up, she brushed the ice cream off the ledge and it plopped onto the floor. Sighing, she grabbed napkins to begin cleaning the small mess while holding a whiny newborn. The child wasn't hungry, she had just ate and her diaper didn't feel full, meaning she was whining just to whine. After she finished cleaning the mess, she sat back at the bar and ordered another while rocking the baby in her arms. | |

| Some Christmas eve, eh? Her and the twins should be huddled around the fire in the living room watching cheesy muggle Christmas movies or chatting about their term at school while they ate homemade (by her house elf) chocolate fudge. But no, they were off in Fiji with their birth father, probably lounging out in the lovely hot weather and eating ice-cream or something. And Aisha was walking along Diagon Alley, wrapped up in a huge coat and on the way to buy some books to keep her occupied over the holiday when she couldn’t be at work. Really, she was prepared to take every shift possible to keep her busy and distracted. But she wouldn’t. Suddenly she felt a craving for one of those wonderful butterbeer ice-creams that they sold in Florean Fortescues’. Maybe it was winter but butterbeer ice-creams could hardly even be called that, the way they were so warm and soothing. The books could wait - her ice-cream was first. The shop wasn’t overly busy as it would be in the warm summer months, which made perfect sense, however there were still plenty of people here. Probably those who knew about the butterbeer and firewhiskey flavours. Aisha went straight to the counter to get herself a two-scoop butterbeer cone. It was quickly handed to her and she smiled and left to find a seat. Over at the other side of the bar she could see a woman by herself. Actually, with a baby. An adorable one at that. The blonde completely adored children and she would love to have one of her own someday. But for now, she was fine doting on other people’s. She headed over in that direction and took a seat next to the woman. Oh, she knew her! It was one of the new trainee aurors, presumably the one who had got pregnant. “Hello,” she smiled. “Ella, isn’t it? From the Auror Department?” It was certainly Ella. “I’m Aisha.” Just in case she hadn’t known already. “Your daughter is beautiful,” she commented. | |

| Trying to make the child be quiet, someone took the seat beside her. Great, now someone's going to complain and I'll have to leave. But she wasn't there to complain, she was from the MoM.
"Yes, it's Ella from the Auror department. " she smiled as the woman introduced herself. "Nice to meet you. " she thought about holding her hand out but she had just got Emma back to sleep and didn't want to deal with waking her again.
"Thanks. Her name is Emma. " Ella replied as Aisha complimented to darling child. She looked down at the blue eyed blonde haired beauty. She'd have to keep a close eye on her when she got old enough to date.
"How's your Christmas Eve?" | |
