A shocking reunion (Closed to Wade Malfoy)

Ella walked through the trees as the sun began to set in the distance. The golden band on her left ring finger glistened and her slightly distended abdomen stretched out against her black cami top. Her long black hair fell in waves down her back. Her boots made a slight crunch over every leave she stepped on. Lifting her leg, she checked to make sure her wand was still in her boot.

She had never walked these woods before and it made her nervous, but she needed the reminder of home, of the woods surrounding Hogwarts. She longed to go back, she make sure to visit Elita and Aislinn soon. She missed her mother and Andrew as well, they were away still. Andrew and her husband, Rhys, are one of the main reasons she's an Auror today. She wanted revenge on her grandmother, she wanted revenge for her family.

However, today, today was a day of relaxation for her. She needed a chance to get out of the house and take a walk. She needed a break from Rhys for a bit. She loved him with all her heart, but sometimes he stressed her out, which isn't good for baby Riddle. As she walked slowly through the woods, a slight breeze ruffled her hair before she heard the footfalls behind her.

The Wailing Woods. Wade had no idea why he'd come to this stupid silly forest in the first place, he didn't even like forests. Sure, he'd spent a lot of time in the Forbidden Forest but that was mainly because he was forced to help his father out or because Professor Vega was teaching a class. There was not one of her lessons that was not worthy of attending. That woman had always been too attractive for her own good. Too bad she's fucking married now. Wade had definitely thought about just saying something brash to her, regardless of the age difference, simply for the fun of it. But the day of her wedding, to which he had been invited to, he'd gotten drunk as hell because he didn't know what else to do. Thinking about it just made him upset, so he turned around to see that he wasn't being followed. Nowadays, his father liked to send his friends to look after him so that he wouldn't do anything stupid.

Making sure that there was no one behind him, Wade turned back to where he was headed: the center of the woods. For some unknown reason, he wanted to be there in the foresty grounds, with the wet dirt and green leaves. He was turning into a girl, that was it. Just when he was thinking about turning into a girl and dishonoring his father for eternity, he caught a glimpse of something moving between the trees. It was most likely a person due to the crunching on the leaves. Turning around to follow this figure and find out who it was, Wade walked behind until he saw it was a girl. Damn. Her dark hair was long and dark, and he'd seen it before. On Ella.

"Hey!" he shouted to get her attention.

Ella whipped her head around as she heard a male voice shouting towards her. It was a voice she recognized from years of talking. Wade. She no longer knew what to expect from him, she knew he was on the dark side and she was a hunter of the ones on the dark side, but Wade, she couldn't hurt him.

She moved closer to him as she thought back to their times in Hogwarts. The times he'd helped her out with Elita, the times he comforted her, the times he protected her like a big brother. She'd abandoned him, she'd moved farther away from him especially once he got with Shah, who at one point was her enemy.

Ella had crushed on him for so long. She knew he had to know that she liked him and he either didn't feel the same or ignored it. She studied his frame, the way he moved, the way he said her name. She looked into his eyes, which seemed cold. His dark hair making his eyes shine so vibrant. It was the face that burned her dreams. The face she tried to forget when she married Rhys. It was him.

"Hey," she breathed back, hoping the medium sized baby bump wasn't too noticeable. Would she truly ever get over him?

She turned back around quickly, Wade figured he'd scared her. He was about to ask what she was doing there, but she seemed to be intensely staring at him. Ella moved closer, and Wade didn't do anything at all. He wasn't in the mood for anything, let alone flirt with the girl he'd always considered a sister. There was, however, a time in which he sort of felt something for Ella, but his feelings were fucked up after breaking up with Shah. Soon after the break up, he'd taken a liking to Ella's face and body, thinking her beautiful in a woman-kind of way. But Wade lived for the red-haired girl, not for Ella.

In just an instant, he went back to the first day they met at the Black Lake, when Ella asked him to show him around, and Wade had agreed. Why had he agreed? Was it possible he thought her agreeable or was he actually interested in her from the beginning? No, he was just being nice. That was back then, when his world was candy, music and pranks. When the only girl he'd ever hug was Lucy, and the only girl he'd ever kissed was his mother. That was back when Wade still had his innocence. He knew that Ella had feelings for him right away, it was too obvious not to be noticed, but Wade never felt the actual need to return them. He couldn't return them now, as he noticed the size of her belly and realized she was pregnant.

What was it with everyone being pregnant? First Jen, and now Ella. The only ones left where Shah and Lucy, and Wade would literally die if either of them followed these girls. Thinking about Lucy married and pregnant was strange, a thought he didn't exactly want in his head, but thinking about Shah in such a way broke him in ways he didn't know he could break. And it was merely a thought. "Nice." Wade nodded towards her belly, smirking a little. He wasn't sure how to act around Ella anymore. He wanted to be cautious considering she'd betrayed them, mostly him, and he didn't want her to ever confront him about his confusing feelings. He also didn't want her to kill him, or to have to hurt her if she tried.

"When's it due?" he asked strangely, not able to get the words out. It had been a shock to see her in such a...phase? Not, it wasn't a phase. Who the hell is she even married to anyway? Wait, is she EVEN married? Was this thing a one-night? Who the fuck would do something like this?! A sense of panic ran through him as he thought about someone hurting Ella that way. She had enough suffering her childhood to be put in this place!

Ella covered her belly in a protective fashion as Wade nodded towards it with a smirk. It made her feel small, smaller than she already felt around him. However, that smallness wasn't always bad. At one point, the smallness she felt around Wade was good, it made her feel protected, secure, but as they grew apart, that smallness turned, it made her feel like she was in danger. After all, Wade was a Dark Wizard and she had betrayed them.

She wanted a family, she wanted her friends back, she had a job now; she was an Auror. It was her job to go after the Dark ones. This was her Wade, it was the same Wade she'd always known, he's still in there somewhere and she couldn't let him get hurt. She'd lose her job for him, she'd turn them away from him because she loved him, even if he never would feel the same.

Snapping out of her thoughts, she heard him ask a question. The most famous question for all pregnant women. When's it due? "She's due in the fall, around the time school starts back up." Ella replied, resisting he urge to look at her bump.

Seeing Ella cover up, Wade rolled his eyes. "I'm not going to hurt you if that's what you think." he replied rather coldly. She'd betrayed them, gone over to the 'good' side, with the aurors and the ministry. She was just where Lucy was. "Wouldn't you think, if hurting you was one of my intentions, I would have simply done it and not bothered to talk to you?" He'd never thought about hurting Ella. Actually, that was a lie. He had. The day Kellin told him Ella had left, and he'd gone mad about it - throwing things against the wall and cursing himself and James for letting her in when she'd most likely turn them in to the Ministry - Wade had showed up at Selene's house, hoping to find Ella and shut her up. He'd never done it, though. After all, it was Ella.

He noticed her stare, and though he knew why she did it, it no longer bothered him. "Cool." he commented when she told him her due date. What bothered him, however, was the fact that she was so young. Wade was barely turning 20, and if he recalled correctly, she was a few months younger than her. He didn't know whether to comment on this or let it go, so he put his hands in his pockets. "Did you come here to spend time alone or...?"

Ella glared at Wade. He said he wouldn't hurt her but was he actually telling the truth? What could she believe about him now? Ella shrugged as he went on about not hurting her. She didn't care to listen to him talk. What she really wanted, was to pounce on him and hug him. She longed for a big Wade hug, for the kiss she'd never receive, but she hid that desire deep down. She locked it away to never be found again.

"Sorta." she replied heftily. She'd come to be away from Rhys but was finding Wade's company soothing. "I came here to get out of the house and away from Rhys. We need time alone sometimes." She smirked at the thought of how little she and Rhys fought. It wasn't normal to her for there to be little fighting in a marriage but she was glad for it. Turning her thoughts back to Wade, she questioned, "What about you? What brings you out here?"

What the hell was she glaring at him like that for? Hadn't he just explained how he wasn't going to hurt her? He fought the urge to roll his eyes and walk away from the moody pregnant girl. If she thought that he'd actually do something simply based on the fact that he was a Death Eater, why hadn't the fact that she'd actually betrayed them been brought up? This only made it clearer that women were insane. Was she aware that he was watching every move, every little move, she made? He thought about how strange it was that for one moment she could have been the girl he'd been coming home to. Pushing the thought aside, he simply stared as she explained her reason to be in the woods.

Rhys must be her husband or something, but Wade was willing to be there was trouble in her household if she didn't want to spend time with him. "I'm here for..." What was he supposed to say? All the way into the woods he'd been thinking about Selene and how she had practically been his first love. This was such a stupid response, though. He was eleven! Sure, the crush went on to his fifth year, and even to her wedding, but that was something he'd never say to Ella. Or anyone. "Fresh air?" he said, even though he was well aware it sounded like a question.

"Yes, fresh air. I get tired of being around Rhys all the time. It gets to be annoying. " Ella crossed her arms and jutted her hip out. Her old, familiar stance. The one that everyone knew from attitude Ella.

"What are you doing here?" She questioned. Probably up to something good she can assume. She no longer wished to be a part of anything damaged with being pregnant. Even once she had the child, she didn't want it growing up without a mother so shed take a break from her job.

"Just so you know, I'm protecting you Wade. I can't let anything happen to you. " Old Ella.
