Taking a Stroll (Neal)

Damien was taking yet another trip to Knockturn Alley. Really, he spent too much time here, but often, he had nothing better to do. When he woke up, he glanced around his increasingly messy room in his increasingly messy apartment and was eager to get out of the stuffy residence. But he waved his wand to clean up the place first. It was getting hard to look at.

After slamming the door behind him, he made his way to an empty back alley and disapparated to Knockturn Alley. He had no business in particular that needed to be done today, but he took a stroll to Borgin and Burkes'. Unfortunately, he soon got bored of the artefacts. There was nothing he hadn't seen many times before. Nothing interesting.

For the next few minutes, he walked slowly and casually down the street, kicking a stone like a young child.

Neal pulled his collar up farther over his mouth and took a peek in a dusty shop window to ensure he was looking his best. No doubt, he was still a very handsome man yet he sighed as he noticed the anger and frustration in his eyes. He had to brace himself for a lot of disappointments lately. Neal spent his time convincing some wizards to continue the old Death Eater's aim but recent events were demotivating a lot of its followers and other known radical dark wizards and witches seemed to accept the unfair reality while others were looking the other direction, utterly unmindful of what's going on.

Because of these arrests and threats, it eroded the spirit of many Death Eaters. What the Ministry were doing to them were unjust and oppressive. Neal shrugged as he pulled his black cloak around him tighter. Oh well, this didn't mean he was done trying to explain to every foolish idiot the meaning of WAR against the Ministry and the Muggles. Neal was the one to offer war to everyone he came across and he would continue to cause chaos just for the hell of it.

He took one of the alleyways, making it there just as a man arrived also. He didn't want to draw to much attention to himself so his hood was up as he looked at the man playing with the stone.

Damien suddenly felt the odd feeling of eyes on him. His hand immediately went to grasp his wand as he turned around. Whoever it was, he didn't care. Why shouldn't he cause trouble in an empty alleyway? He'd been bored recently, since meeting Jen. Perhaps this was a chance for a little more...excitement. At least, something slightly interesting.

The man who stood there, like him, had his hood up, so he had to squint to get a better look. It was half surprising to see a familiar face there. True, he'd never had a conversation with this man, but he had seen him plenty of times at various meetings and gatherings. What was his name? Damien couldn't remember. He clearly wasn't very memorable.

"Didn't your parents ever tell you it's rude to stare?" he drawled, sarcasm clear in his tone. Then he pulled the hood of his cloak out of his eyes slightly, so that the man could recognise him if he hadn't already. From his incredibly attractive features. Damien smirked. Well, it was more of a smoulder. Which no girl could resist.

Neal breathed in the fresh air and just stood in front of the man who paused and looked at him. Neal didn't move and the only motion one could perceive was the rustle of the papers scattered in the alleyway, the flight of birds and the marches of witches and wizards speeding by in the main road.

Neal remained speechless even when the stranger talked to him. He was not someone who talked to strangers unless need be. Lately, he had been rediscovering the wonderful things about being an introvert. Neal talked when he had something to say. It was just that, there's a time to be silent and a time to speak and at this moment, it was simply a wise choice to be an observant.

He still stared at the stranger, curiosity filling his cold uninviting eyes. His face was familiar. He already met him somewhere. He allowed a spark of mischievousness, just to add some mystery.

So he wanted to be like that. Damien only smirked, a little amused by the man's stare. He was clearly trying to be cold and intimidating, but failing miserably. He stared back, almost mocking him with his stare and relaxed posture. He could really do with a cup of tea right now. Or maybe something stronger. Firewhiskey. However, his reluctance to venture into busy public places overruled his need for a drink. Besides, there was business to be done here.

The temptation to ask the man if he wanted to go and blow up some muggles with him was unbelievably strong. He imagined how fun it would be, seeing the surprised look on his face when he blurted out something so stupid. No, not just yet. Maybe in a bit once the man had realised who he was. Or would it have a better effect now?

"So, do you want to go and blow up some muggles?" Damien smirked, unable to hold the words back. He was still an immature child at heart. A sadistic, messed-up one, but still a child, nonetheless.
