Andre's Year Finale and Birthday Party Extravaganza! (OPEN TO EVERYONE!!!)

If there was one thing that Andre loved almost as much as a fine specimen of wood, it was parties! Andre loved going to all kinds of parties! Christmas parties! Birthday parties! Cocktail parties! But what he loved most of all was throwing parties! Just about anything could be a good excuse to throw a party! But the end of a fantastic school year in which he had met so many marvelous teachers, students and wooden fixtures?! That was the best reason to throw a party! Not to mention, it was a certain little redhead teaching assistant's birthday, and since she had been such a wonderful assistant to Andre, the least he could do is theme the end of the year party around her special day! Of course, Mademoiselle O'Donnell was not aware that the party would be held in her honor, but that would make it all the better! Who didn't love surprises?!

Of course, Andre wasn't exactly sure what kind of things Mademoiselle O'Donnell liked, so he enlisted the help of one of her friends - the VanDerberg boy from class. He discovered many intriguing things from the boy! For example, his assistant loved sheep! And hated pink! Those were two very important pieces of information for decorating the party properly. It would be held in his Arithmancy classroom, of course, so that his beautiful desk could be in attendance! Of course, he'd brought the desk from his charms classroom and his wonderful pine chair along as well. "'opefully, Mademoiselle Walters does not try to sit on ze poor chair," he mumbled to himself.

The VanDerberg boy had also agreed to come and assist Andre in setting up the party! Which was very nice of him, since it was a lot of work for one person to do. Andre was glad for the help - and he was also slightly glad to keep the boy away from Mademoiselle O'Donnell, as he was slightly suspicious that the boy was trying to seduce his magnificent little teaching assistant. "Zis boy 'ad better not corrupt 'er into a number zat she is not meant to be, such as a four!" Anyway, the boy was nice enough, and before long the party was ready. Andre beamed and spun in a circle to take in his surroundings.

Streamers that said things like "HAVE A GREAT SUMMER EVERYONE" and "HAPPY THIRTEENTH BIRTHDAY" were hung all over the room. The desks were replaced by some casual chairs and tables, and the house elves had been kind enough to bring up a delightful array of food! Andre squeaked with excitement as he saw the cake! "But it is perfect, zis cake!" he exclaimed to the house elf who had brought it. Andre couldn't tear his eyes away! It was a multi-tiered cake that was decorated to look like it was covered in grass. Tiny white picket fences circled the rings of each tier, and within were dozens of realistic-looking sheep made of icing! On the very top, written in loopy cursive, it read "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADEMOISELLE O'DONNELL" "But it is missing somezing... AHA!" With a flick of his wand, all of the tiny edible sheep sprung to life, bouncing happily around the cake and doing awesome sheep things like making sheep noises and grazing.

"Wow," the boy said enthusiastically from behind Andre. "That's amazing. She's going to love it!" Andre beamed widely back at the boy. "I 'ope so! She deserves it for certain! But now zat ze room is decorated, all zere is left to do is wait!" Of course, the party was open for everyone to join! Staff, students, ghosts, paintings, furniture - Andre would not deny anyone entry! The more the merrier, after all! And so, Andre and the VanDerberg boy waited anxiously for the others to arrive - or at least Andre did. Literally. He sat in his pine chair, hands folded excitedly in his lap, and stared at the door just willing a guest to enter!

Nina had heard about the party that Professor Leblanc was throwing for the end of term. She didn't have the Professor as a teacher, but a few of her new friends were going, so she wanted to go as well. Sarah didn't like parties, so no matter how much she begged her twin sister to go, she wouldn't. She made her way up to the Arithmancy classroom hoping that she was welcome to join the fun.

When she got into the room, she realized that she was one of the first people there... Well this was awkward... She noticed Professor Leblanc, and a boy she had met in the Library with Ariel, Hunter. She looked around the room, and noticed the decorations and banners. One of them said, "Have a Great Summer Everyone!" And the other said, "Happy Thirteenth Birthday Mademoiselle O'Donnell." She wished she knew this was also a birthday party. If she did, she would've brought the girl a gift, even if she didn't know her that well. She still wanted to make a good impression.

She noticed the cake had what looked like live sheep dancing on the top. What a weird decoration? Maybe the O'Donnell  girl liked sheep? She didn't know....She went over to where Hunter was and nodded at the boy. This situation was now way awkward than it needed to be...

Aoife had mixed feelings about 16th July, 2029. Obviously, it was almost the end of the school year, which was awesome! But on the other hand, it was the fatal day. The day she became...oh, she couldn’t bear to think about it...a teenager. That was terrible. It could be the making or the miserable failing of her. She could stay amazing, or she could turn into a stupid, lovesick, girly, overdramatic teenager. that meant it was her birthday. Thirteenth birthday. In a way it was good, because she was getting presents and she planned on going down to the kitchens to persuade the house elves to give her cake.

So, when she woke up on the day, much too early, she debated rolling over and going back to sleep. No, she couldn’t do that! It would make her a real teenager. They just moped around and slept loads. That was the main regard in which she thought of Kynan of a teenager. He just slept. Then slept more. And more. So much sleep. Then she realised. These were tests! To see if she was a real teenager or not! At that thought, she sprung out of bed and skipped down to breakfast, especially early.

As a super special treat, she had a huge stack of pancakes coated in chocolate and sprinkles along with lots of other unhealthy breakfast foods. And lots of bacon of course. Aoife caught sight of Lyra giving her a dirty look but the redhead just grinned back and casually mentioned it was her birthday, to receive lots of greetings from other students. Take that Blake, people did like her. She didn’t get the opportunity to rub her birthday in his face since she didn’t sit near him, but she made a mental note to do so later on. He deserved it.

Most of the rest of her day was spent messing about with Hunter in the Common Room and the grounds. A bit later, he went off somewhere without telling her where. It was a bit hurtful that, even on her birthday, he couldn’t at least mention his destination. She knew that Monsieur Leblanc was holding an end of term party later and she thought about going to help him set up. But then she remembered there were presents from her family to open and cake from the house elves to gather. They had priority, of course.

Her mum and dad, along with a couple of her siblings, had sent shared presents, because the gits that were her brothers and sister wouldn’t buy something themselves. Still, she was happy with the huge selection of muggle sweets and sheep-themed merchandise she received. Then, her married brother with three kids had got her some cool Aoife-style clothes. She suspected his wife had been the one to choose out the sheep and sweet and rainbow and unicorn t-shirts and jeans. Or her baby nephews. They seemed cool. Yeah, they’d most likely been on a shopping spree especially for her.

Next stop: kitchens! Grinning broadly, she skipped down stairs and through corridors, singing loudly. The Mustachio song. Obviously she got lots of weird stares, but she didn’t care. She was having CAKE! And nobody was going to stop her! Except maybe the house elves if they said no. Or Leo Malfoy if he came along and forbid her from having birthday cake. But even that heartless git couldn’t be so mean. Aoife greeted Rosey, beaming all the while, and told her about the current situation. Then the WONDERFUL little creature produced some chocolate cupcakes. She demolished them, thanked the elves, then skipped back up to her dorm.

It was almost time for that party, so she changed into smarter jeans and her new rainbow t-shirt. These were much better clothes than her Christmas party dress, which had got trashed anyway. Still, they looked okay and they weren’t covered in mud like most of her other stuff. She had some pink boots, which were nice but pink. So, for the FIRST TIME, the colour-changing charm worked! And now she had awesome GREEN boots! Now that she was ready, she started slowly making her way to the Arithmancy classroom. She had time. Maybe, now that she’d spread the word about what day it was, people would buy her presents. Or at least give her cards. Otherwise, they were gits!

When she skipped casually through the door, Aoife saw the few people already in there and smiled happily at them. Before greeting anyone, she glanced around the room to look for the food, and was super surprised but excited to see a banner that said happy birthday to Mademoiselle O’Donnell! That was her! “That’s ME!” she grinned. And there was a cake! More cake! But this one had sheep on it! Real, moving sheep! For a second, she was too shocked to say anything.

But then she realised. That small, innocent first-year, Nina! Without thinking, she ran towards the cute little girl and gave her a HUGE HUG. “Thank you SOOOOOO MUCH!” she said enthusiastically before letting go of the poor thing. Then she turned towards the two others. This was why Hunter had abandoned her! He was a git, but he was a fairly nice git! And Monsieur Leblanc! He was the most awesome person in the room. After her, of course.

“THANK YOU EVERYONE SO MUCH THIS IS SO COOL!” Aoife said, actually jumping up and down in excitement. Hunter deserved a hug. She wasn’t totally sure what part he’d played in this, but there had to be some reason he was here, so the redhead rushed towards him and hugged him as well. And upon the realisation a certain head accessory was missing, she pulled her teal beret out of her pocket and hurriedly put it on her head. As a sign of respect to the Frenchman. Maybe she could use her new colour spell ability to change the beret’s colour? That would be so cool! Even if she couldn’t make it flash lots of different colours just yet.

Blake arrived to the end of year party, glad that professor Leblanc had given them the opportunity of such a good send off. As much as Blake was looking forward to the party he wasn't looking forward to the reason as to why it was being held. The holidays. Blake had been pretty narky the last few weeks as he felt the extended break looming over him as most people talked about their plans with their families for the summer. But tonight he was going to be on his best behaviour and nice to everyone. Yes, everyone which included Aoife. Hunter had suggested visiting him and his family for the summer which had offered Blake some hope for the summer, but there hadn't been anymore talk about the trip since the day they discovered the kitchens. Blake knew he should bring up the subject, but the idea went out of his head as he entered the professors office which had been transformed and was unrecognisable with all the streamers and banners covering every inch of the room. As long as there wasn't confetti Blake was happy.

Blake soon figured out why Hunter had disappeared for the day, it was Aoife's birthday. Well no one told him and that was a perfect excuse for not having a present for the Irish girl. Blake hung back as he seen Aoife attacking everyone within reach, obviously just being her normal weird and annoying self.

Blake was making his way over to the group of Gryffindors wondering if any of the other students from other houses were going to show up. At least Nina was here and he didn't have to just talk to Hunter who was currently preoccupied by Aoife. Letting them have some space as it didn't look like Aoife was going to stop thanking either Hunter or Professor Leblanc anytime soon Blake stopped beside Nina. "Heya," he said in a friendly but cautious manner as he wondered what terms they were on after their forbidden forest expedition. Blake was busy eyeing the cake as his greedy and hungry stomach wanted to devour it. Instead he chewed on a couples of crisps, before deciding that it was rude to put off approaching the others any longer.

"Thanks for the heads up," Blake muttered half joking in Hunter's ear. Maybe if he had of known it would have saved him a needless trip to the professors office. He even put on his good chequered shirt and jeans, well there was no point in wasting them now. He was here and going to enjoy himself, although he had a sneaking suspicion that he wouldn't have been missed if he hadn't come. In fact if it wasn't a surprise party there was no way Aoife would've had him on the invite list. Well since he was here and being on his best behaviour he approached Aoife, forcing a smile on his face. "Happy Birthday, sorry I didn't know so no present." Blake shrugged in an apologetic manner feeling awkward as he forced himself to be polite. Oh God, she better not try and hug me too.

If there was one thing that Hunter had learned from agreeing to help Professor LeBlanc set up for his party, it was that the frenchman was absolutely insane. He spent half of the time talking to himself and half of the time staring weirdly at his desk. But in the end, Hunter had to admit that the guy had some style because the room looked absolutely amazing. And the idea of bringing the cake-sheep to life? Absolutely genius.

Hunter never would have agreed to help if the party weren't for Aoife's birthday, but when LeBlanc came to him asking for assistance with throwing a party for her he couldn't exactly say no. Especially not after the brilliant party she'd thrown him. So with Hunter's knowledge of Aoife's quirks and Andre's flashy magical ability, they had managed to pull together a pretty good set up. Of course, it wasn't just Aoife's birthday party. It was also an end of the year party, so everyone was invited! But Aoife's birthday was clearly the most important of the two events.

The first person in the room was that girl who was with Ariel at the library. Nina was her name, wasn't it? Either way, the girl didn't seem to know what to do with herself. Eventually, she found her way to Hunter and stood awkwardly near him. Hunter offered her an easygoing smile, not wanting her to feel put off, and was trying to think of something to say in the meantime when the next person arrived. And it was Aoife!

Hunter grinned widely as he heard LeBlanc exclaim from behind him. "AHA! Zere she is!" He watched as she engulfed the quiet little first year next to him in a hug, and was soon in the same predicament as his red-headed friend came after him next. "Happy birthday!" he said to her excitedly, wrapping his arms around her. "Thirteen, eh? How's it feel? Or are you boycotting it completely?" he joked, watching on in amusement as she pulled out her beret and stuck it on her head.

Watching Aoife literally bounce up and down in excitement made Hunter's assistance in the party completely worth it! And the look on her face when she saw her cake? "You like the cake?" Hunter had to ask, just to hear her response although he already knew that she loved it. "Ze sheep were ze idea of Monsieur VanDerberg! I zot you might enjoy ze charm, so I brought ze little sheep to life! Zey don't even know zat zey will be eaten soon, so zey are quite content you see!" Hunter vaguely noticed Blake enter the room, but before giving attention to his friend he had to take care of one more thing.

"Stay here," he said to Aoife, darting over to the side of the room where an oversize gift bag sat on the floor. He grabbed it and quickly made his way back, shoving it into Aoife's grasp. Inside was a large variety of sweets, mostly from Honeydukes, a pack of butterbeer, and some awesome Zonkos prank items like a set of extendable ears and a decoy detonator. All things that he knew Aoife would get plenty of use out of. But the coolest present was a stuffed unicorn that actually moved. Walked around and did unicorn things and everything, whatever unicorns did. Nothing like a normal, boring stuffed animal. "Zonkos has a whole section of them!" he told her, searching her face eagerly for her reaction. "They didn't have any sheep, just magical animals, but I thought you'd like the unicorn one because of Mustachio!" Hopefully she'd like it, even though it wasn't a sheep.

By that time, Blake had managed to make his way over to them. He just flashed Blake a grin at his words about a heads up. "You wouldn't have showed if I'd told you," he replied under his breath, shrugging in a way that showed that it didn't matter because everything had turned out the way Hunter had planned it. Telling Blake that the party involved Aoife's birthday would be a mistake if he wanted him to come. He hoped that Blake would still want to stay over summer if Aoife may be staying, too. They really needed to stop being so stupid. He watched on in amusement as Blake told Aoife he hadn't gotten her anything and wondered who might turn up next.

Parties should be fun! Oliver told himself. In fact, he really didn't know much about parties. All the ones he had attended were merely family reunions and Christmas celebrations. He laughed out loud when he remembered Christmas day when he was seven years old and Matt was five. That was the day Oliver had accidentally set mother's garden on fire. Without magic, mind you. He had done it all with only his bare hands and his own compassionate self.  In fact, he didn't even mean to set her plants on fire; he just thought they would get cold with all the snow and freezing weather that year. Oliver was simply trying to warm them up, but it turned out to be harder than expected. Of course, Matthew had helped with bringing along the wood to try to make a fire in front of their house, but things went badly after Oliver tried to actually move said fire closer. How could I have been so childish!

So now he was making his way to the Arithmancy classroom because that's where this end of term party would be held. He had never taken Arithmancy so he was more excited to know what the classroom looked like and what said class was about rather than the actual party, but the party was also pretty good for making friends. He put on his best clothes, or the ones he liked best, which were some regular jeans and a sweater he had gotten for Christmas. Not much, really, but he didn't want to show up wearing a scratchy suit and tie when it was definitely not the occasion for them. So he walked into the classroom feeling confident about himself, but said confidence was interrupted when he took in his surroundings.

For starters, there were TWO desks. Not one, but two. They weren't bad desks, either. It was just unusual to see two of them in one classroom, but Oliver figured the professor liked them or something. There were also streamers with happy comments, such as the classic "Have a great summer" and "Happy Birthday". Wait. Happy Birthday? HAPPY BIRTHDAY? How did I miss this? Who's birthday is it? He most definitely owed this person a present now, as he had no idea it was also a birthday party. Then Oliver saw the cake! It had sheep! Moving, fluffy sheep! He read the name on the cake, Mademoiselle O'Donnell. Well, I bet she likes sheep! Personally, Oliver wasn't a big fan of them but he didn't exactly hate them either. He really felt bad for not having brought a present, as it was always rude to show up to a birthday party without one, but then again, he wasn't aware that this was a birthday party. That lessened his guilt a little, but he still made it a point to meet said Mademoiselle O'Donnell and give her one later.
He was still thinking about what kind of birthday present he should get for a girl, or a woman, as he still didn't know if this person was a student or an adult, when he recognized Blake.

It was Super Blake. It was the one hero who had tried to save Oliver from the stupid, mean tree! He must know who this birthday is for! Because, you know, Blake is cool and everything. "Hi Blake!" Oliver greeted him as he walked up to the older boy. Considering how puny Oliver was, Blake seemed as tall as a tower again. "Do you happen to know who Mademoiselle O'Donnell is? I didn't know this was a birthday party! I would have gotten something for her but I-" he cut himself off when he realized he had probably interrupted some friendly gathering. Well, ummm. Since he had already interrupted, he might as well continue. "Hi!" He greeted the other boy and the girl next to Blake.

Ariel was pretty excited. She had heard a lot about the Hogwarts parties and how amazing they were, and she hoped this one wouldn't disappoint. She had received knowledge that it was Aoife's birthday, and she had, with the help of a very nice house-elf, stolen a set of sheet and bundled it up into a very nice-looking, red and golden sheep. The house-elf had used some sort of magic on it, making it stay the way it was. Ariel was very pleased with the sheep herself, and was currently dragging it along with her. It was almost as big as herself!

So, she was trudging along to the Arithmancy classroom in her party outfit with a hugeass sheep-sheet and trying not to stumble. Easier said than done. She did avoid that freaky little sneaky step, though. She always did. She had become so attentive to that step that she was now considering simply stepping on it to see what it felt like. She decided to figure it out later, though.

As she finally reached the door, she grinned happily to herself. She then opened the door and walked inside. Woah… The classroom was a rather awesome one. She hoped professor Leblanc didn't always have the classroom this way, though. That would probably be a lot of work to maintain! She grinned. It was awesome, though. Completely and utterly awesome. She saw people there that she had met before, and that guy that she had only met once.

She made a big noise and skipped over to Aoife, with the big sheep on her shoulder. It wasn't heavy. It was just in the way. "Happy birthday!" she said happily and presented the big sheep to Aoife. It was almost as big as Ariel herself. And it represented Gryffindor! She hoped Aoife would like it.

She then grinned at Blake and Hunter, happy that they were there. She really loved those guys. Amazing people, amazing future prank partners! Or maybe prank victims. One would never know! She then saw Nina and beamed. Her roomy! She also gave a grin at Oliver and the professor.

"I am ready to parteeey!" she then exclaimed, a bundle of energy having to be let out, making her jump up and down in joy. She then straightened up and looked completely serious. "Pardon that outburst," she said in an overly adult voice, "Sometimes I just can't contain myself." She kept a straight face for ten seconds or so, before she burst out laughing and noticed the cake.

"Merlin's beard! This is the most amazing cake I've ever laid eyes on!" she exclaimed and clapped. "Who made this?" she asked, looking dubiously at professor Leblanc. It couldn't be him. Could it? No way! Or? Maybe?

Blake just laughed at Hunter's comments of him not showing and shook his head at the boy. It was very plausible and probably true, but like he said he was here and now and determined to have a good time.

The first non-Gryffindor showed up and Blake grinned when he saw who it was as he recalled their not so generic first conversation about trees. Blake's grin lessened slightly when he noticed that the young, fresh faced boy was approaching. But then Blake remembered the boy in their last Charm's class and his face when he was doused in water as he entered the classroom. Not that Blake felt sorry for the boy, but he could see he was making an effort. He had never seen him surrounded by torrents of people and it did look like he was wearing his best attire tonight. Well, for him and at least he wasn't wearing a t-shirt saying 'I heart trees' or something just as ridiculous.

As the boy greeted him an idea formed in Blake's head. Blake pulled the boy into a half hug, holding him tightly by the shoulders. “Guys, have you met Oliver? Or Ollie as I like to call him.” Blake introduced.. “He’s my new tree-hugging friend.” Blake grinned, knowing it was a private joke and that the others probably wouldn’t really follow. And he made sure to give Aoife an extra smug look, indicating that he did have REAL friends. Blake let go of Oliver, hoping he wasn't too shocked by his forwardness and give the whole charade away.

"Find anymore friends?” Blake asked, obviously referring to trees. He would always be known as the tree lover to him now. But Blake had to say the little guy was growing on him with his naive grin plastered on his innocent face the whole time, nothing seemed to get the boy down. And kudos to him for even approaching him, Blake knew he looked surly the majority of the time and was never really approached by other students unless he knew them, especially first years.

"Hey Ariel!" Blake greeted, as his attention was immediately brought to Ariel's fancy dress. It was very shiny! "have you met Ollie yet?" He questioned seen as he had just introduced him to Aoife and Hunter it seemed rude not to follow suit with the other girl. "And that's Nina," Blake said pointing over to the black haired girl standing with them. Blake laughed at how excited Ariel appeared. Anytime he was with the girl she seemed high on sugar, at least she seemed happy he thought to himself. "We need some music." He commented when Ariel said she was ready to party.

Maya walked taking to the Arithmancy classroom, glad that she wasn't here for a lesson. She couldn't believe that next time she'd be there again she would be a 5th year. They were getting so old!

She took a deep breath as she waited for Kynan. Maya didn’t know why she was so nervous, she had met up with Kynan at these get together's on plenty of occasions before. What made it different about this event was that Kynan had formally asked her. Well not formally, but he had actually asked her through a note after class and for Kynan that seemed formal. Since when did Kynan need to ask her in a note? Maya recalled the letter in her head as she had reread the words over and over in the hours coming up to the party discerning what it meant. Overall, she had just managed to confuse herself more and ended up with a massive headache.

So she gave up and concentrated putting all her effort into getting ready. She thought the outcome was a success, If she did say so herself. She had actually worn make up, her red hair fell in curly locks around her shoulder and she had worn a lace green dress that brought out her eyes. Yep, Maya was pretty pleased with the outcome. She had noticed herself how she liked dressing up more and more and looking pretty. As much as she hated to admit it she was becoming one of them teenagers that cared about her appearance, well at least every now and again on special occasions such as these.

Maya’s heart sunk as she realised she was either too early or too late. In her haste to forget about the meaning of the note she had rushed from the dungeons forgetting to check the time. So either Kynan hadn’t arrived yet or he had already gone in. Maya wondered if she should remain outside as a worried crease formed on her forehead.

Hunter just HAD to bring that up. “Shhh!” Aoife glared. “I’m not thirteen until about eleven o’clock tonight! And I’m not thirteen. I’m twenty. I’m just skipping being a teenager.” Because she could do that, right? There must be a spell for it. There was a spell for everything! But on reflection, she probably shouldn’t mess with her age because she needed to stay at Hogwarts! Without an education, what good could she do for her sheep charity? As long as she kept her awesomity (new word, awesomity) it didn’t matter how old she was, right?

“I LOVE the cake!” she beamed and was about to thank Monsieur Leblanc when he mentioned it was Hunter’s idea. Wow, he was actually slightly more than a mindless unicorn! “I can’t eat the sheep,” she added, with a small shake of her head. “I’d feel so guilty. But other people can! Nice people only, though. Mean people can’t have the best bit of the cake.” Like Seren and Blake. Her hatred for the two of them just increased every single day. Only because the more she thought about it, the more she realised how mean and unlikeable they were.

Then he told her to stay there! Like she’d actually move. This was obviously the awesome bit where she got her present! “Thank you!” she grinned before ripping open the gift bag. “This is AMAZING!” Loads of prank stuff! And the COOLEST cuddly unicorn toy! It even looked like Mustachio! How did Hunter know that? The git had never seen her favourite unicorn! Still, he’d come up with an amazing present, so she didn’t hit him.

Why did Blake have to turn up and ruin everything before the party had even started? The grin on her face stayed, though, because she was in a super good mood and even the git’s present didn't dampen her mood. Him and Hunter started having a secret conversation and she squinted at them suspiciously. Was it about her? No, Hunter wasn’t that mean, even if Blake was. Aoife didn’t ask, since she was almost certain Hunter would defend her if the other boy said anything Blake-like. Which he probably would.

Just like him to turn up but not bring a present. He must have known. It was clearly a deliberate attempt to ruin her birthday! But she couldn't let him know she could see his evil plan. She just smiled nicely-ish at him. While she felt like the nice gesture would be to hug him, she decided against that. It would be too disgusting and he didn't’ deserve a hug. “Thanks, Blake!” she said enthusiastically. And she didn’t even call him Blakey! How nice was she?

The next awesome guest was someone she didn’t know, but automatically loved. His hair was just so FLOPPY! Almost as floppy as Hunter’s! And he was cutely confused. “I’m Mademoiselle O’Donnell!” she announced grandly. “But I prefer Aoife.” Suddenly, she just couldn’t keep her inner fangirl in. “OHMIGOSH I LOVE YOUR HAIR SO MUCH!” she beamed. “How do you get it so FLOPPY? It’s just like Hunter’s! You’re almost his Mini Me!” Did they know each other? It didn't look like it.

And Ariel! Everyone was turning up! This adorable little girl had brought a present! Aoife wondered if it was from Darcy as well, or if she’d get a separate present. Unless Darcy was too teenager cool to turn up at this little kids party. She didn’t say any of this out loud. That would be rude. But this present! It was wonderful! It was amazing! “ARIEL I LOVE YOU!” she grinned and lunged forward to hug the younger girl. She clutched the sheep to her. This was her new best friend. Hunter was officially replaced.

Oh, so the boy’s name was Ollie! “Cool name,” she commented. Oddly enough, he had awesome hair and an awesome name, but he was friends with Blake. It didn't seem to be because he felt sorry for the Gryffindor but more because he ACTUALLY LIKED him. Maybe it was an illusion and they actually hated each other with a burning passion. For once, Blake was actually right about something. Music. So she didn’t comment, because she hated him.

Yeah, Aoife was definitely boycotting the teenager thing. "Somehow I figured that," Hunter laughed. He raised an eyebrow at the redhead as she said that only good people could eat the sheep on the cake. "Wow. I thought that you'd be sneaking them into your robes and setting them free or something," he joked. Glancing at the cake, which looked quite interesting with little fluffy sheep bobbing around on it, Hunter wasn't sure if he actually wanted to eat the sheep either. Maybe he'd just stick to the regular parts of the cake. At least Aoife seemed to like her present. He normally wouldn't have been able to get her so much stuff in one gift, but he got a pretty substantial discount at Zonko's, which he took full advantage of on a regular basis. "Glad you like it," he grinned.

To Hunter's surprise, Aoife greeted Blake rather enthusiastically. He gave her a strange look at her pleasant greeting - that was definitely not normal. He'd have to keep an eye out, since Aoife probably had some secret, evil ulterior motive to her behavior. But he didn't have too long to think on it, because in the next moment some first year came in. And Blake apparently knew him. "Hi Ollie!" Hunter said in a friendly voice - if the kid was friends with Blake, he was probably okay. And not a complete loser like some of the other first years.

Rather than flinch when Aoife exploded about the newcomer's hair, Hunter just sighed and brought his hand up to his forehead in amused exasperation. "Aoife, stop, you're probably scaring the kid," Hunter joked. "Don't worry," he said to the younger boy. "She'll calm down in a minute - or in a few days or something. Or maybe over the summer." he added thoughtfully. "She has a thing with hair." A rather obsessive thing, but Hunter didn't mention that.

Great, Ariel had shown up!! How could Hunter not notice her enter, since she was magically attractive? Or was it because she was carrying a ginormous red and gold sheep? Either way, he noticed her immediately and flashed her a grin. Naturally, Aoife loved the obnoxious sheep thing that Ariel had turned up with. Hunter was pretty sure she would carry it around all night now, no matter how large and intrusive it was.

Ariel asked who made the cake, and Andre spoke up from where he was sitting with his desk. "Well you see, Mademoiselle, ze 'ouse elves made ze cake. But I decided zat it needed a bit more, so I added ze lovely little bouncing sheep! Zey turned out quite well, if I do say so myself." Hunter still wasn't sure what to think of the Professor, and eyed him a bit strangely as the frenchman then went on to murmur something to his desk. "AHA! Music! But of course!" Andre then exclaimed. "I knew zat I was forgetting somezing, zank you Monsieur Ralston!" Then, with a swish of Andre's wand, music exploded from nowhere and filled the room. That was a pretty cool trick, actually. Hunter needed to learn to be a little better at magic so that he could do awesome things like that, too.

Everything happened pretty fast, and Oliver was about to stop and stare at everyone to try to make sure he knew this people. He first became confused when a girl came up and grinned at him for seemingly no reason at all before acting almost as weirdly as he would if he actually felt comfortable around the rest of these students. Then his super cool new friend Blake, did something that really startled him. From their first conversation, Oliver gathered Blake didn't like him much. Or at least considered him weird and unworthy of his attention, but Oliver appreciated the effort he was making today! When Blake pulled him in, though, Oliver didn't know what to do. Was he supposed to sort of hug back? Instead, he just kept still and let Blake talk about whatever he wanted, but was a little relieved when Blake pulled away. It was a friendly gesture, but Oliver had never been one for hugging people. Only trees. Which Blake had already made clear to the rest. Nevertheless, Oliver was smiling and looking as friendly as he could.

"There's not many in the common room." Oliver shrugged as he turned to look at Blake briefly before he realized how...not nice...he looked. It was something about his eyes that made the older Gryffindor look mean and uninterested, but Oliver sincerely hoped it was just the lighting of the room. The next thing he knew, he was being asked about his hair. And by Mademoiselle O'Donnell! What an honor! The birthday girl wanted to know about his hair! "Hi Aoife!" Oliver grinned, instantly taking a liking to this strangely happy girl. "I don't know how it gets that way. It just happens!" he explained, pushing his hair down with his hand and looking over at the boy who appeared to be Hunter. Their hair did seem sort of similar, except Oliver's was darker and had a curled texture at the tips.

When he greeted him, Oliver smiled at him. "Don't tell her, but we really don't look alike at all." he whispered to Hunter. "It's fine," Oliver pushed his hair down again in an automatic response. "I've never realized how floppy it really is until now. Maybe I'll cut it over the summer or something." However, he couldn't help it when his blue eyes widened at the thought of Aoife coming back and still thinking his hair was cool enough to notice. "Is it like an obsessive kind of thing?" He asked but tried his best to not sound mean. Because he really wasn't trying to be mean.

And then, JUST THEN, he realized who the first girl was. It was Ariel! The super cool girl he'd met by the lake! He made a promise to talk to her later as he really enjoyed doing so.
