Family: Anthony Campero was born in Brasil. His mother Rose, who is originally from England, met his father Maximillian in London. He was at the time an intern for the ministry of magic and working towards a career in the international relations department, while Rose was a university student. The two of them quickly fell in love and got married. Maximillian hid his magical abilities from his wife for a very long time until she was an accidental witness to one of his spells. After the initial shock, she was slowly introduced to the world of magic. Soon afterwards, Maximillian got a job in his home country Brazil and the married couple moved to a quiet muggle neighborhood. Their first child was born four years into their marriage and it was a boy, Anthony Campero. And year later they had another addition to the family and this time it was a girl, Victoria.
History: Both Victoria and Anthony were sent to a muggle kindergarden, as it was unsure if they would have magical abilities like their father. But as soon as Anthony and Victoria got a bit older, objects started mysteriously hovering in the air and disappearing into the backyard, which was their favorite hiding spot. Rose tried to hide her children's talents from her friends and neighbors, which definitely resulted in most people seeing her as a rather strange and controlling individual. While they got most of their education at school, their father had a large part in the magical section of their education.
As soon as the two eldest came off age, they were meant to attend the Brazillian Wizarding School as their father. But that was the time when the reals problems started in their family. Their parents had started arguing more often than ever before and there was simply no peace in their house. Before they knew it, Rose had moved away back to London and they were going through a divorce. This was a very difficult time for the whole family as they had to figure out how to make their life work with having two separate family homes. Because of the divorce, it was agreed that the kids should enroll Hogwarts instead, to be closer to their mother during the school year and would spend their summer vacation in Brasil with their father. Or at least that's the plan and although things have been messy and complicated lately, everyone is hoping that this solution will be the best option for the whole family.
Appearance: Unlike his sister Victoria, who gained many of their mother's lighter, European features, Anthony strongly resembles their Brazilian father. His features are generally dark, with tanned skin, dark eyes and black hair. Anthony wears his hair short, but it is still long enough to cover part of his forehead. His eyes are almond shaped, and he has a broad, straight nose. He isn't exceedingly tall, but is of average height for his age, and has a stocky build.
Personality: Growing up in Brazil, Anthony's mother tried to get both him and his sister involved in all kinds of
cultural things. For example, his sister was involved in dance. Anthony, however, wasn't really interested in culture. He played on a baseball league instead, and went to Quidditch matches with his father. He liked sports. He was good at them. And that was much better than
dancing anyway. Or whatever other rubbish his mother hoped he'd become interested in. When Anthony was old enough to attend the Brazilian wizarding school, where his father went, he wasted no time in joining the quidditch team as a chaser. Flying was one of his favorite things!
Anthony was always a bit reckless as a child - he was always the one out of his friends to climb that tree that nobody could climb, or take that dare that nobody else would take. It wasn't even that he liked the attention. Anthony actually hated attention, and hated being the leader of a crowd. He preferred to sit back and follow, if only for the purpose of blending in. He just didn't care about the consequenses of his actions, and that recklessness has followed him into his teenage years. He simply has a
what's the worst that can happen approach to virtually every situation.
While Anthony is a slightly moody teenager, he is a generally kind person. Though not the type to go out of his way for others on a regular basis, if he sees someone in truly in need of his help, he doesn't hesitate to come to their aid. He can be rather judgemental of others at first, but keeps his opinions to himself, and is particularly angered by any type of bullying. It takes a lot to provoke Anthony to react in a strongly negative manner to someone. He isn't shy, but he is quiet and sometimes a bit difficult to talk to. He's very selective of his friends, especially after being forced to uproot from his old school and start anew at Hogwarts. It will be difficult for anyone to live up to his old friends, who he was particularly close with.
Anthony and Victoria used to be relatively close, but since his parent's divorce Anthony had retreated into a more solitary state rather than spending time with his family, including his sister. The entire situation made him very bitter, and he preferred to deal with it alone. His sister didn't seem to understand that, and was constantly pestering him. Although she got on his nerves quite often, Anthony does care about his sister's well being, and is very protective of her - from a distance of course.
Anthony is a decent student, with his strong area of magic in transfiguration, but he doesn't go out of his way to do extraordinary in classes. He's intelligent, but not a very hard worker when it comes to homework. He gets his assignments in on time, but their quality is never the best. In general, Anthony is extremely resentful of being forced to attend Hogwarts, and isn't very willing to give it a chance. The divorce has made him an angrier person than usual, and at first it is likely to cause his temper to flare in a way that is unlike him.
