| After Ryan crushed the bezoars, he added two measures of the Standard IngredientAfter that he heated his potion at the medium temperature for five seconds. He then stirred it one time anti-clockwise, and then waited for 7 minutes while it brewed. After he finished he looked up to find Lauren staring at him. He winked at her and blew her kiss before making a sample of his potion for Professor Henley to grade. |

| Despite already being in the dungeons Persephone was utterly lost by the time class should have started. She wandered around for a little bit, before running into a older Slytherin. He pointed her in the opposite direction, which made her frown slightly.
When she finally made in to the class she was wondering if she should even go in she was so late. Shaking her head she entered and moved to the nearest table. "Sorry for being late... I couldn't find the class." She muttered towards the teacher. |

| After the seven minutes, Lauren added one pinch of unicorn horns to the cauldron. She stirred it twice clockwise, then added two mistletoe berries. Lauren stirred it twice anti-clockwise, then turned off the heat and made a sample to give to Professor Henley.

| Aoife had to stifle a smirk when the irritating Ryan boy was told off for working in pairs. It wouldn't have been so funny if he'd lost points, but he hadn't, so it was alright. Points weren't really fair, in her opinion, because for individual achievements or misbehaviour, the whole house lost points and it wasn't fair on them. Houses didn't pick which people were in them, so if they had a really rubbish person who lost loads of points, it wasn't their fault. But nevermind.
By this point, she'd got as far as crushing the Bezoar. Luckily, there weren't any horned slugs in this potion, so she wasn't in danger of almost throwing up like she had been last term. Aoife was concentrating very hard, because she wanted to prove to herself that this class wasn't that bad and she could get good marks if she wanted to.
The medium heat bit confused her, but she just heated it up about half as hot as it could go. That would be alright, wouldn't it? When she got to the unicorn bit, she frowned again. Potions really was all about animal cruelty. Mustachio! She hadn't seen him this term! What if this was his horn? Too late, it was already crushed and she'd already added a pinch.
The rest of the instructions were fairly simple, but when she'd finished, Aoife realised she might have got clockwise and anti-clockwise mixed up. They were confusing! She took a sample and nervously stared at it. She really hoped it was right.

| Lyra quite liked Potions so far. The teacher was nice and it looked fun, just chucking stuff into a bowl and mixing it around. It was like making scrambled eggs, but was a tiny bit more complicated with the ingredients and everything.
She got to making the potion straight away, having fun crushing the bezoar and pretending it was people she didn't like. Rushing a little bit as she was scared she wouldn't finish in time, Lyra moved through the instructions, glad they weren't too difficult. Adding the bezoar and standard ingredient, then heating it up. It really was just like scrambled eggs.
When she finished, she carefully turned off the heat and took a sample. She couldn't have done that badly, surely?

| Blake greeted the VanDerberg twins in turn as they entered, still slightly confused on their names so he nodded, hoping it would suffice.
"Hello," Blake replied cheerily when another Ravenclaw girl entered and greeted him in a friendly manner. Blake recognised her and thought he remembered seeing her with Hunter before. But before he had the opportunity to ask her name the class had started. He decided he'd ask Hunter about her later as it'd be nice to have make more friends in his year. Blake had decided that branching out this term was for the better. Especially since Hunter spent so much time with Aoife.
While Blake was pondering this Professor Henley had been instructing the class on the potion they were to make. Oh damn, he was already behind! Blake frantically flicked through his book, trying to locate the potion that even the late students had started.
Blake rushed through crushing his bezoar the pieces probably could have been smaller, but he was in a rush to catch up so he just chucked them into the cauldron. He then measured out the standard ingredient and added that next, going for speed rather than accuracy. Blake heated the cauldron and then waited for the potion to brew. He then chucked in the remaining ingredients and stirred the potion a couple of times in each direction. Adding a wave of his wand with a flourish to finish, he decided it was done. Blake took a sample of his potion, realising that his didn't match up with the colour of the antidote in the book. Oh well, too late now he thought knowing he would have to do better next time to improve his Potions grade.

| Elizabeth added 2 measures of Standard Ingredient to her cauldron and then she did heated it to a medium temperature for 5 seconds. Soon after that she stirred it to one time in anticlockwise. Soon after tha she left it to brew and returned in 10 minutes. When these minutes were up she added 1 pinch of Unicorn Horns to hers cauldron and stirred it 2 times, clockwise. Soon she added 2 Mistletoe Berries to couldron and stirred 2 times, anti-clockwise. Also she wavd her wand to finish this potion and turned off the heat.
Girl took the sample her potion. It was almost like the color in book but little bit lighter color. She wasn't sure if it was okay. Girl wasn't really good in potions but she at least tried. |

| After Ryan completed all the instructions, he bottled up a sample of the potion and turned it into Professor Henley, "Here you go, Professor." He smiled and returned back to his seat. |

| Eiros walked into potions with a large grin on his face, the class he had been waiting for all day! When he entered the class he didn't say anything to anyone but went straight to a table and began brewing. He was determined to be the best he could in this class. |

| Alright, antidote to common poisons. Hunter flipped through his textbook to find the instructions. It didn't look too hard, honestly. He got started right away by adding the bezoar to his mortar and crushing it thoroughly. After being careful to add the appropriate amount to the cauldron, along with the standard ingredient, he turned the flames beneath the cauldron to a bit higher than a simmer and allowed the potion to heat for five seconds. He stirred it once counterclockwise like the instructions said and then left it to sit.
Since his cauldron was pewter, his potion needed ten minutes before he could bother with it again. While he was waiting, he glanced around the room to watch the others work on their potions. He was a bit ahead of most people - for some reason, Potions seemed to be his strong area. He didn't understand why anyone would find it hard. It was simply about following directions. that wasn't all that hard. Some things were a bit subjective, like what medium heat meant exactly, but overall it wasn't difficult - at least not to Hunter.
Hunter added the last bit of ingredients to his cauldron, stirred it the appropriate amount of times in between - he may have thrown an extra clockwise stir in there after the unicorn horn by accident - and blew out the flame beneath. Grabbing a flask, he deposited a sample of the potion into it and walked it up to Professor Henley's desk. It looked pretty close to the color it was supposed to be, so that was good. Hopefully he'd managed it well enough to earn Gryffindor some points.

| Lucia rose from her chair and cleared her throat. "Time's up guys," she said softly and looked at the students. Most had come with a sample, and some hadn't brought up anything. She took a turn to gather from those who hadn't given her a sample. She stopped next to Eiros and Persephone, telling them that they lost five points each for being late. Lucia continued on and returned to her desk. "Well done today, class. The potions are mostly correctly brewed, though some mistakes have been made along the way. Like how some seems to have been a bit rushed. Next time, remember that it's better with a correctly half-brewed potion, than a poorly completed potion," she said softly. Then she dealt out the points respectfully and individually, the max being 15 points. - Points:
Hunter VanDerberg: 13 points Ryan Sanchez: 7 points Blake Ralston: 5 points Lyra VanDerberg: 10 points Aoife O'Donnell: 8 points Elizabeth Night: 10 points Lauren Madley: 7 points Seren Pierce: 6 points Eiros Moor: 5 points
((Those not mentioned received 0 points))
