Family background and description:

Anna and Arfon Pierce met during their years at Hogwarts. Anna was in Slytherin house and Arfon was in Ravenclaw. It wasn't until years later, however, when they encountered each other again through work at the Ministry of Magic, that they chose to marry and begin a family. In subsequent years the young couple gave birth to six healthy children. The first at eleven years old, was Seren. Following her were Aidan (10), Arwen (7), Bronwyn (6), Gareth (3) and Rhoswyn (1)

Personal history:

First-born of six children into a family of wealth Seren was showered with gifts and attention from the moment she took her first breath. She learned to want everything and need nothing. While not a mean-spirited child she always expected to be given her way. She had no reason to expect otherwise.

Her various brothers and sisters were born throughout her childhood, starting with Aidan who was closest to her in age. Although she was spoiled by her parents she also understood what it meant to be responsible from a young age. Often, as the oldest, she was expected to look after her younger siblings and was the first to be given chores. Therefore, though Seren was used to getting the things that she asked for, her childhood wasn't completely devoid of responsibility and consequence.


Physical Appearance:

Seren is a small girl, her physique is thin and could perhaps be described as slightly scrawny. Her small frame is dwarfed even further in relation to the large, chocolate colored curls that fall haphazardly over her thin shoulders. Her skin has a light olive hue to it, and her eyes are a pretty shade of blue.

Personality:

Seren has been conditioned by her parents from a young age to expect others to dote on her. In her mind, Seren is beautiful and important and expects to be treated like it even if her personality doesn't ALWAYS match. Seren is actually a relatively understanding person, and is good at calming others down when they're sad or worked up. This is probably a result of taking care of her five siblings when her parents needed her to. Also as a result of her siblings, Seren prefers to act as a leader rather than a follower, and isn't afraid of doing things her own way or standing out from a crowd.

While not shy by any means, Seren has a quiet, calculating personality. She expects to get what she wants but if she doesn't, she isn't the type to scream about it. She just remembers the situation and thinks of a cleverer andless obvious way to make her opinion known (or to get back at those who anger her). She's intelligent, and spends a lot of her time reading. She views problems very logically, and is a fast problem-solver.

While Seren has a very dry, blunt sense of humor, and typically doesn't hesitate to say things that may hurt feelings she is still an eleven year old girl that wants to make friends and fit in. She's mistrusting at first but is fiercely protective of those that push past her sometimes unfriendly appearance.

I'M FINALLY HERE! The day had finally arrived! September first! Seren had hardly been able to contain herself when she woke up that morning. Naturally, Seren had jumped on her parents bed and insisted that they wake up RIGHT NOW even though they didn't have to leave for hours. And now as the engine sounded and the train started to drift away from the station Seren hung from the window like many other students, waving goodbye to her parents and siblings. She smiled at them and yelled a final goodbye before they shrank beyond her sight.

She pulled her head back into the compartment and slid the window closed before sitting down onto the comfortable seat. She'd managed to get a compartment by herself. She took out one of her schoolbooks and eagerly let her eyes race across the words, hoping that she'd be prepared for when classes began. She knew that the sorting came first, but she tried not to think of that since she didn't know how her parents would react if she wasn't sorted into one of their houses. Right now, that didn't matter. All that mattered was that she was FINALLY going to Hogwarts!
