Term 6: Year 1, Lesson 1

In order to give himself adequate time to prepare, Odin pushed open the door to classroom that he'd been assigned with plenty of time to spare before the start of class. His first class as a professor at Hogwarts would be with the new first years, and his mind had sifted through various historical events to focus on with them. He wanted to provide their young minds with something that was capable of holding their interest, yet was still easily tied into more recent (and admittedly more exciting) events that they would study in future years. He had finally settled on starting at the beginning. With a flick of his wand, words scrawled neatly onto the board.

It made sense to begin with the founders. The topic would be interesting and beneficial, and would provide the foundation for the hatred that drove the second wizarding war, which they would discuss in years to come. With a glance at his watch, Odin noted that there was still twenty minutes before class was due to begin. He wandered to the front of his desk and leaned back against it, waiting for his students to arrive. He would begin class in twenty minutes exactly - in his mind, students who are not early are late.

Leila entered slowly into the History of Magic classroom, with books in her hand and soft blonde hair falling into her face, she looked at the floor, still groggy from not getting to much sleep, she looked up to see her professor, she smiled softly,"Good morning.", she said in a small timid voice.

She decided to sit in the front on the classroom, History wasn't her best subject but she wanted to pay attention, maybe wizard history is better than muggle history, she thought to herself. She open her History of Magic book to page 57, and waited until her professor began his class.
