Term 6, Lesson 1, Year 6

Lucia walked into the classroom, ready to start off a new year. Her second year as a teacher of Potions. She really loved this job, as much had been proven last year with her students. Now she would be teaching the sixth years their first potion of the term. She was a bit curious as to how they would manage the potion, not wanting to put too much pressure on them, but she figured this was a potion that could be useful to them. Especially with the rise of the Dark Ones. She felt a shiver run through her at the thought of the horrible people, thinking of all the people that had been murdered in cold blood in London. She looked to the blackboard and figured it was time to write something up there.

Blackboard:

She looked at the five words, knowing how much that potion could do, and knowing it couldn't truly hurt anyone. Not if she could get there, or any other potions-master who knew their field well enough. She blinked, having lost some track of time, and sat down behind her desk, waiting for the students to arrive.

Potions was definitely one of Lucy's favorite classes, so she couldn't wait for it to start! She walked through the familiar dungeons to the classroom, with Professor Henley it was as if the room lost it's usual cold temperature and became a warm place. Though she didn't know the woman very well, she enjoyed her classes and hoped to take them again next term. As she entered, Lucy smiled at her, "Hello Professor!" she exclaimed as she took a seat near the front. Nervously, she glanced at the door, afraid of seeing Wade walk in.

Ella walked into the class and nodded at the professor. She was a professor that was fairly new and Ella didn't know her very well. "Afternoon Professor." Taking a seat away from Lucy, she took out her class supplies and got ready to listen. Looks lie they were going to be discussing Draught of the Living Dead. That was always interesting.

Lucia smiled at both the students that greeted her. "Welcome to this class," she said, "Now, to get straight down to business, as you can see, we're going to be brewing the potion known as the Draught of the Living Dead," she said softly. She looked to the blackboard and back at her class. "Can any of you tell me why it is called so, and what the effects of the potion is? Also, what are the key ingredients of this potion?" she asked them.

Lucy raised her hand almost instantly. "The Draught of the Living Dead is a very powerful sleeping potion. It gets its name because it puts the drinker into a deathlike sleep." she answered, pleased with herself.

Lucia gave a nod at ms. Malfoy and smiled. "Indeed, five points to Slytherin!" Lucia said softly, looking at her students.
