Phineas had spent his day in the wand shop all by himself. He had done everything absolutely perfect, and didn't make any mistakes, which he was thrilled of. He had been trying to do his best ever since VanDerberg had came in and he probably made his wand worse. The shop had been quiet dead for sometime, so it was a shocker to Phin when the bell on the door went off. He looked up from his book and saw a blonde girl who looked to be about eleven. He guessed it was around that time of the year when the first years where coming to get their wands for the first time. And with Miranda at the Ministry, and Alek doing what ever he was doing, it was now Phin's time to shine.

It was Phin's time to decide this little girls fate. It was life and death. It was the rest of this little girls life, and Phin was in charge of her fate. Okay, that was a little bit far fetched, it wasn't like he was deciding which house she went in, or if she was going to jump off a bridge or not. This was just her wand. It wasn't a big deal. Okay, it was a big deal. Especially for an eleven year old. Phin had all day to give her the right wand. Okay, he had until 7pm when the store closed, but he was hoping that it wouldn't take that long. He was hoping that the wands would speak to him, like they seemed to do with Miranda and Alek when they were picking out wands for the upcoming first years.

Phin was suddenly nervous. What if he did this all wrong? Maybe it was a good idea for him to be going back to school. He didn't know what he was doing. He finally decided to speak. He asked, "What can I do for you?" Phin remembered being that small. It seemed like it wasn't that long ago, but at the same time, it seemed like light years. It was a time when things where complicated. When his life was one giant mess that seemed to unravel. And now, all he had to do was pretend to know what he was doing and not panic.
