An unexpected surprise

Ellie entered the common room and saw Ella sitting by the window looking at the lake. "Ella!" she shrieked, "I made it! I finally made it."
She ran over and gave Ella a great big bear hug as she began to cry tears of joy.

"Ella!" someone shrieked and she turned around to see Ellie, "I made it! I finally made it." Ellie ran over to Ella and hugged her. She could tell Ellie was crying.

"Ellie, dear, listen to sissy." Ellie looked at her. "Everything's going to be okay. We're going to talk to someone together about everything that's happened okay?" She saw Ellie nod. "There, there." Ella comforted her little sister and for a moment it reminded her of how father used to comfort them after a long hard day and she too began to cry. "You're safe here with me." she whispered into Ellie's ear then kissed the top of her head.

"Ellie, dear, listen to sissy." Ellie looked at her. "Everything's going to be okay. We're going to talk to someone together about everything that's happened okay?" She said and Ellie nodded. "There, there." Ella patted her on the back and held on to her. "You're safe here with me." she heard Ella whisper in then ear then felt her kiss the top of her head. The grabbed Ella tighter. She was so thankful for a sister like Ella. Ella was the only one who was always there for her no matter what, she was also the only family she had left.
