Lesson 1: Firecrabs Empty
PostSubject: Lesson 1: Firecrabs   Lesson 1: Firecrabs EmptySat Jan 10, 2015 6:32 pm

Elita really didn't wish to start the lesson, with only one student, however, she unlocked the classroom and did it anyways. Turning on the lights, she went around the room and dusted off the furniture. Using her wand, she created a different scene in her classroom, one the portrayed the island of Fiji. On the board, she wrote her name, Mademoiselle Vega as well as what the class today would be over.

After years of watching her mother write on her own board, Elita's handwriting mimicked it exactly. She wished her mother could see her now. Her love for animals led her to the same position her mother taught when she was a Hogwarts student. Elita smiled at the memories, feeling the dove pendant against her skin made her feel even better. It gave her the courage, the strength she needed to get through her first day of teaching.

Since her student hadn't arrived yet, Elita left the door open and walked down to the cafeteria where she asked for a cup of hot chocolate. Her classroom had been a bit chilled, which reminded her of the unusually chilly morning they were having. She carried the cup back up to her classroom, after thanking the elves, and sat at her desk, planning out future lessons while she waited for her student, hopefully more would show up, to come.

Lesson 1: Firecrabs Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lesson 1: Firecrabs   Lesson 1: Firecrabs EmptySat Jan 10, 2015 7:45 pm

Amelie woke up bright and early, before her roommates and before the sunrise. The night before, she had gone to bed really early to be up in plenty of time for her first class at Beauxbatons. Care of Magical Creatures. She didn't imagine it would be her best subject, since animals never seemed to like her much and this could involve a lot of practical work, but she was still excited and determined to do her best. Surely it couldn't be so difficult. And maybe the teacher would be nice and teach classes about stuff she'd find interesting. Even though animals never really took a shine to her, it didn't mean she wasn't interested in learning.

After she'd got dressed into her brand new - well, second-hand, from her big sister - uniform and brushed her hair, she went to breakfast. She didn't stay long. Being on time for the first class, likely the most important class, was a lot more important than staying to socialise with other first-years who probably didn't like her that much, apart from Fabien and Rufus. But she hadn't sat with them. Being proactive, last night she had asked her big sister where today's classes would be so she knew exactly where she was going. Almost. She only went down the wrong corridor once, and she quickly realised her mistake and turned around. At some point, she was going to make a map of the palace because the design was far too complicated to navigate easily.

Upon entering the classroom, she frowned seeing that she was the only one here, but quickly smiled again noticing the professor at her desk. The woman looked very young, and it got Amelie to wondering how easy it was to become a professor. Maybe she could be a professor. "Good morning-" she glanced at the board "-Mademoiselle Vega." The classroom looked... interesting. A little cold, though. She'd just been wearing her dress and blazer, so took the funny cloak bit of her robes out of her bag and shrugged that on too. Firecrabs? They sounded vaguely familiar, she had probably come across the subject skimming through the textbook over summer. Seemed a little bit interesting, at least, though.

Mackenzie woke up the morning of her first day of class and got dressed. She put on a cute baby blue cashmere sweater with her uniform and made her way down to breakfast. She didn’t eat a lot. Just a few croissants and some tea and she was full and ready for the day ahead of her.

Mackenzie walked into the classroom and saw an island paradise. She smiled and curtsied towards her professor. “Mademoiselle Vega,” She smiled at the other girl and gave her a curt nod before taking a seat at the back of the class. She wondered if Professor Vega was even old enough to be teaching them, she looked rather young to Mackenzie. But she decided to just shrug it off and ignore it for now.
She was disappointed at the lack of people, sure she was early, but she wanted to meet more people from her school. She just hoped they arrived soon. She hated being alone.

Lesson 1: Firecrabs Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lesson 1: Firecrabs   Lesson 1: Firecrabs EmptyMon Jan 12, 2015 8:35 am

Alberi still couldn't believe the whole thing about being a wizard. Well, he did wave around all those wands around, each one doing different stuff. He still remembered the last one - his wand. Well, what it did. It's obvious he'll remember something that he shall see probably every day. His wand had given out some interesting sparks - even if they are in a dark color they are sparks, right? He wasn't sure. If their was anything that he didn't let go of though, it would be his wand. The nice professor who had taken Alberi into his house for some reason smiled when he examined his wand...

Speaking of that professor, he seemed to want to be the boys person escort around the school or something. Well, he did bring him to this class room. Alberi wasn't really sure what to think of that, not used to some being so nice to him... Or nice at all, really. Excuse his mother and sisters. But the boy was annoyed from them, so they still don't count. He actually likes this man. Than again, he only was with him the last weeks of the summer, so he can't talk yet. But for now he does.

When they arrived near, the teacher gave him the last directions for the room. Alberi was glad for that, it wouldn't be really nice to be seen being taken to a room with some grown man. They said their good - byes. Also the professor said for him to try and get friends. Something about needing to have someone for these years at the school? So you don't be alone and such? Alberi didn't really care, he was ignored and made fun of eleven years, he could survive seven others. They were seven years, right? Maybe he should have listened closer when the man explained Beauxbatons to him... Oh well.

Alberi walked the last turn and entered the class room. Wait, is he sure that this is the place? Why was it... an island? He turned back to be sure that he walked through the right door - maybe he understood the man wrong. Nope, it's the same place. Okay, we'll see why the room and an island had mixed together... "Hello... Mademoiselle Vega. " He said, reading what was on the desk. Than looked towards her. She seemed young. But all teachers he'd meet for now we're young... Than again, he only meet two here. Shrugging, he looked around the room. Two girls were here. Not wanting to be making friends at he moment, he walked towards the back of the room, ignored one of the girls their, and sat at one of the corners, the more shady one. If they don't see him,.maybe they won't make one way or another fun of him... Like his clothes... No wait, they all wore the same, plus the professor had given him good clothes. Surely they would find something... Tring not to think about his tragic past, he took out his book, quill (Why do they write with a freaking quill?) and parchment (Again...) and waited for class to start.

Fabien looked at Rufus who looked back. Well, of course Rufus looked back, Fabien's hand was controlling him. Fabien convinced himself that it was Rufus who decided that he should take Care of Magical Creatures. Fabien sighed as he walked into the classroom. He didn't like big crowds, and hoped this class would be small. There were only four-five students in the classroom. Did Rufus count as a student? Fabien hoped so. Fabien counted Rufus as a student. He slid into one of the seats in the back, and looked around. There was that girl that Rufus had wiped blood on in the pet store that one day. Fabien wanted to wave, but didn't know if it was allowed, or if the girl would acknowledge him.

It was then Fabien set eyes on the teacher. He had never seen such a beautiful creature. And instantly, he knew why Rufus signed them up for Care of Magical Creatures. Her long black hair shined against what ever light was going through, and her eyes sparkled. Or at least to Fabien they sparkled. Rufus hit him, and he snapped out of his daydream. He looked towards the board instead of the beautiful creature that stood before him, and saw the word firecrabs. He shrugged. Maybe he would actually learn something in this class. He hoped to all hopes that he wouldn't be distracted by this beautiful creatures beauty to learn about the firecrabs that they were presented with in this lesson.

Lesson 1: Firecrabs Empty
PostSubject: Re: Lesson 1: Firecrabs   Lesson 1: Firecrabs EmptyTue Jan 13, 2015 4:56 pm

Taking a sip of her hot chocolate, that had now cooled off tremendously, she looked around noticing most of her students were there. The class was small, just 4 students, which wasn't so bad. Being her first class, she was glad that it wasn't too big, nor too small. If she fucked up, they wouldn't notice most likely.

Elita stood up, her long curly hair flowing behind her, and walked in front of the board. She wore black pants and a blue sweater that really complimented her eyes and made them shine more blue than they already shone. Thinking of what she wanted to say, she opened her mouth and spoke in fluent French. The way she spoke, no one would ever know she had moved from England. "Good morning class." she smiled, a bright smile. Their tired, but smiling faces reminded her of her first year at Hogwarts, she was only 9, but she was extremely nervous, yet excited.

As she thought of her Hogwarts memories, she thought of her mother. How she longed to be a great professor like her mother. She hoped to bring fun to the classes, as well as she wanted to be there for any child that needed her, much like her mother was there for her and Ella before she adopted them. Lifting up a fairly big, jeweled shell, she asked, "Does anyone know what creature this belongs to?" Clearly, the ones who read the board would tell her it's a firecrab, and they would be correct, however, it's the shell, rather than the actual crab itself.

"Very well, it is the shell of a firecrab. Does anyone know anything about the firecrab?" she asked waiting for anyone to answer before diving into her informative lesson. She wanted to give everyone a chance to participate, much like her mother did. She couldn't award House points because Beauxbaxton's didn't have Houses, but that wouldn't stop from figuring out a way to reward them. Maybe sh'd give them a box of Bertie Bott' or a chocolate frog for participation.

Edmond decided to show up in Care of Magical Creatures lessin. It was only lesson at the school right now. So it sounded like good idea to take it. It wasn't that easy to find right classroom but he managed to find it. He saw the classroom and then walked into it.

"I'm sorry if I'm late for lesson," he said there awhile taking a seat middld of the classroom. He looked at the board and saw what they were talking about here now. "I just got lost awhile coming here," he added there now. He wondered how much late he was in the lesson. At least he was here now.

Mackenie turned and saw a boy walk in. She knew who he was. It was Edmund. She smiled and turned her attention back to the lesson. She thought for a moment as the professor asked a question and she raced her brain for the answer. She stopped and thought for a moment, then it hit her.

She raised her hand and smiled, “The Fire Crab is a large, turtle-like crab creature native to the island of Fiji. It has six legs, and a heavily jewelled shell, with different colours. It is able to defend itself by shooting flames from its rear end when it is attacked.”

She decided to keep going and continued to speak, “The Fire Crab is a protected species, and a reservation has been created to protect this species from Muggles, who would value the jewelled shell, and wizards who use the shells as cauldrons.” She felt like she was going too overboard on the information and looked down and blushed.

She put her head down in embarrassment for going way to over the top on her answer. She didn’t want people mad at her for taking over the answers and taking away their chances to answer.
