It was the first day of school, and Hogwarts was alive again...At least, in a different, positive way. Students roamed the halls with their arms filled with books, potions and the like. It was all very nostalgic for him, but it was also slightly annoying. Thaor knew the Hogwarts kids, and he would tolerate none of their bullshit. Admittedly, he was in a bit of a bad mood. School starting meant that he had to wake up early, and waking up early made him angry enough as it was. Then, there was also that trivial thing called a lesson plan. Also known as, the thing he had created right before his first period class. Surprisingly enough, they had seemed to like it, so he kept it running. However, now it was the very last period of the day; kids would be worn out and probably a lot less responsive. Being a new Head of House, he would also have to deal with the whole pushing of the limits crap. He wasn't quite sure exactly why he applied for the Head of House position this time around, but he was sure he would soon regret it. With a quick roll of his eyes and a wave of his hand, the door opened to the grand room. And soon it would begin.

The room itself was actually quite large. 30 desks were lined up in four consecutive rows. It wasn't the most exciting layout, but he didn't really care. Behind him, the entire wall was a chalkboard. Needless to say, there would be a substantial amount of notes in the class. To even out the depressing aura of the board, were floor to ceiling windows on the far right of the classroom. Luckily for him, it was a sunny day, and the nice view and blazing sunshine had kept him awake throughout the day. As the clock ticked ever closer to the end of the day, he almost felt like he was back at Hogwarts in one of those seats; anxiously anticipating the final bell of the day.

Nevertheless, he had to teach, and those kids had to listen, or it would be a lot worse for all of them.

Miranda showed up. The teacher here should just award her points for that. She was even the first one. Even at Salem she didn't go that far. But it was an interesting topic, so she thought, "Why the hell not?" She showed up with just her wand, because she was to lazy to go get her books after lunch. She didn't even acknowledged her presence when she walked in. She sat in the back to try not to draw to much attention and put her head down. If she was going to pay attention, she didn't want to draw attention to the fact that she was. That would be stupid.

Fuck Elldirs. Hogwarts was just fine without him after he left, so why the hell did he have to bother coming back? He was just a pain-in-the-ass, fucked up professor who would probably make their lives hell for the hour that they were there, just for the fun of it. Well, if he thought that Hunter was going to put up with his bullshit, Elldirs had another thing coming. Hunter had almost dropped the class when he'd heard who was teaching, but in the end decided that if he was ever going to do anything with his life at any point, DADA might help him somewhere along the way. But then again, if Hunter got pissed off and shit went down, it didn't really make a difference to him if he failed. He'd just go to class, sit in the back, and ignore Elldirs as much as humanly possible. It would probably be fine, because he'd probably go after Aoife first.

But then, Hunter reached the classroom, and the moment he did he stopped and considered turning around again and leaving. Because their teacher looked like a freaking ten year old. The git had done this when he'd taught before, too - talk about a midlife crisis. With an annoyed sigh, Hunter shouldered his bookbag and stepped through the door. There was a girl already in there. Hunter didn't recognize her, but figured she was a transfer. Everyone was a transfer - these people seriously needed to stay in their own countries. Ignoring the girl, Hunter took a seat in the back on the opposite side of the room. He wasn't sure how he'd ended up early, but he was definitely regretting it. Mostly because Elldir's face was pissing him off, and now he had to stare at it even longer.

Defense Against the Dark Arts Lesson 1 - 5TH, 6th and 7th Years Empty
PostSubject: Re: Defense Against the Dark Arts Lesson 1 - 5TH, 6th and 7th Years   Defense Against the Dark Arts Lesson 1 - 5TH, 6th and 7th Years EmptyWed Oct 22, 2014 2:08 pm

As Darcy donned her robes, she took up the pin that had been given to her by the headmaster. Head Girl... It was completely insane. She also felt proud about it, of course, but it was yet another responsibility, and she wasn't quite sure if she could handle it. Ariel had supported her, of course, squealing in joy on the top of her lungs. It had made Darcy feel better about it, but it was still a lot to take in. The patrols were fun, though. And she'd used the prefects' bathroom more than once. She stuck the pin to her robes and then left for DaDA.

She had finally realized that it might be a good subject to take for her final year, and she was sure she could keep up. She hadn't been completely idle the last few years either, she had done her own studies into the class. And now she was curious as to see who the professor was. She had heard that it was someone who'd been teaching it before, but Darcy didn't know who that was, so it was going to be interesting.

As she entered the classroom, she realized just how interesting it would be. Two students were there. One, Darcy had no idea who was. But she looked like her own age. The second was Hunter. She didn't know what she thought about him anymore. Sure, the shock of losing his brother gave him all sorts of excuses for his behavior, but when that hurt her own sister, that was more than Darcy could simply forget. In Darcy's opinion; no matter how much your own life hurt, it would never be justifiable to hurt someone else. Ever.

So she didn't spare him more than a glance, afraid she might just give him detention for no reason, and walked up to the front. The professor was surprisingly young. He couldn't have many years on Darcy. She didn't dwell on that for too long, and sat down at one of the center tables. She pulled out her books and started shuffling through the pages, curious about what they would learn.

Defense Against the Dark Arts Lesson 1 - 5TH, 6th and 7th Years Empty

Defense Against the Dark Arts was kind of useless for Agnes. Ansel had taught her what he knew already, and even though her brother could be a lame arse, he was pretty good when it came to magic. Therefore, Agnes saw no point in showing up to that class when she already knew the material. Really, she considered talking to the headmaster about it, but that would involve meetings and appointments and things she didn't want to deal with. So, Agnes was on her was to the DADA classroom. The students passed by and she was glad she didn't know any of them. When she walked in, after minutes of walking around debating whther or not she actually wanted to show up, there were only a few people in the room.

Yessss. Agnes thought, a small sense of happiness forming when she realized they were most likely going to be left alone and not forced to work in groups. Hunter was there, of course, but Agnes didn't feel like sitting anywhefe close to him today. Darcy from Care of Magical Creatures was also there, but Agnes didn't know her. And some other girl Agnes had not yet met. Really, there was no one to sit with. Agnes was alone. Again. The windows were amazing, though, so Agnes chose a seat nearby and took out her wand and notebook. Her quill, which had been a gift from her mother, bore the Gryffindor colors proudly and Agnes couldn't help but smile when she looked at it.

Her mother was so sure Agnes would like Gryffindor. As if! Still, she used it because it reminded her of her mother. Her brown eyes clouded with confusion when she looked up and saw the man behind the desk. Well, the boy behind the desk. Looking around, Agnes realized that boy was their professor. "What the fuuuck?" She muttered as she glanced back at the boy. Maybe he was a dwarf or something...but no, he looked to be around Agnes' age.

As the bell rang Thaor stood from his desk and walked over to the chalkboard in the front of the room. Welcome to another year in Defense Against the Dark Arts, many of you have noticed that my appearance has changed, this is from my lesson earlier today in which we went over polyjuice potion, and other ways to alter ones appearance, the effects should wear off soon, and I'll be back to the regular Professor Elddirs you've all grown to hate. He said with a smile.

Today, I wish to pose an important question. Who is the most dangerous student in the room. I need an answer from all of you, and you don't have to elaborate as to why you've chosen them.

Defense Against the Dark Arts Lesson 1 - 5TH, 6th and 7th Years Empty
PostSubject: Re: Defense Against the Dark Arts Lesson 1 - 5TH, 6th and 7th Years   Defense Against the Dark Arts Lesson 1 - 5TH, 6th and 7th Years EmptySat Nov 15, 2014 12:57 am

Hunter watched as other students filed into the room, but looked down when Darcy stepped into the room. Because first of all, looking at Darcy reminded him of Ariel. And that reminded him of what he'd done to Ariel. And that reminded him that Darcy knew what he'd done to Ariel, and that was just uncomfortable and miserable altogether. He breathed a sigh of relief when the older girl sat down away from him and allowed his gaze to swing back to the next person to walk through the door. Agnes. He gave her a half smile, the corner of his mouth turning up, but quickly let it fall. She wouldn't sit by him. She never did. And he never sat by her. It was just how they worked.

Then, Elddirs started the lesson. After his introduction, Hunter tossed the idea of leaving around in his head one more time. He'd lose points, but did he really care about that? No. Yeah, leaving was definitely his best bet. He leaned down to grab his bag, preparing to depart, when Elddirs asked the first question of the lesson. And amazingly, it was interesting enough to make Hunter hesitate. Who was the most dangerous student in the classroom? Tilting his head as he took the question in, his eyes unconsciously began scanning the rest of the students in the classroom. To be honest, he was pretty sure that he could take any of them if he had to, but it didn't seem like the kind of question that you were supposed to choose yourself for. Besides, Hunter was rubbish at magic.

The most dangerous. Darcy was older and unfairly attractive, so that made her kind of dangerous, because she could use it to her advantage if she wanted. But it only worked against guys. The new girl didn't look like much. Nobody else seemed particularly skilled or malicious or anything. And in the end, all things considered, he was pretty sure that he knew who it came down to, at least for him. "Most dangerous to me personally?" he asked, smirking. "I might've picked Aoife, but she's predictably late, as usual. So, in light of recent events, I'd probably have to go with Agnes." he announced casually, leaning his chair back on two legs and waiting, almost irritated with himself for being curious about everyone else's answers.

Defense Against the Dark Arts Lesson 1 - 5TH, 6th and 7th Years Empty
PostSubject: Re: Defense Against the Dark Arts Lesson 1 - 5TH, 6th and 7th Years   Defense Against the Dark Arts Lesson 1 - 5TH, 6th and 7th Years EmptySat Nov 15, 2014 3:09 pm

So Elddirs was back. Aoife was disappointed, of course, that they had another pile of shite for a DADA teacher, but in some ways she was alright with it. First of all, at least he wasn't Kellin. Second of all, she knew how much she could irritate him, just by being herself. And it was always fun to irritate evil, messed up, point-taking-away, detention-giving gits like Elddirs.

Obviously, for the sake of tradition, she wasn't going to make an effort to be on time like she had for all her other classes so far. Who even cared if he took away points? It was alright, because the house point system was starting to suck anyway with all the evil professors there to subtract points. Maybe she'd be lucky and just get a detention. She'd decided to sleep in a bit, and then stay at breakfast for as long as possible and stuff her face, then slowly walk along the corridor as though she didn't have a care in the world.

It worked, and when she got to the door she heard the first question. Most dangerous? What the hell? Elddirs had only got weirder in his time away. And, of course, Hunter had to pipe up and say her, even though she wasn't even there yet. So she took it as her queue, pushed open the door and waited for it to slam behind her. "Did somebody say Aoife?" she grinned. She'd heard Elddirs talk about his polyjuice potion, but when she saw him her face turned from happy to absolutely disgusted! Gross! He was so young! And that was wrong. Because he was probably like a hundred or something.

Miranda sat up at the Professor's question. Was he fucking serious? She'd become the most dangerous person in the classroom if he didn't shut the hell up and actually, you know, teach something. Miranda ignored the question when an annoying Gryffindor came in, and she put her head back down. She should've done everybody, and herself a favor, and just skipped.
