Vanessa walked into the common room and lied down on the couch. She was totally tired from a day of classes. She hadn't said much that day and was quite proud of herself. She had recently decided that all of her problems occured when she opened her mouth. So she decided not to do that anymore. She then heard someone else arrive and looked up to see another first year come in.

Mariana entered the common room to see a young girl sitting on the couch. She recognized the girl from her flying lessons. She was the one who couldnt get her broom down and Professor Di Angelo had to get her down. "Hey, you're that Di Angelo girl, arent you?"

Vanessa looked up to see a girl from her flying class. "Yeah. And who are you?" The girl was pretty, she could admit that. Of course, Vanessa was prettier. Nessa smirked and raised an eyebrow at the girl.
