TERM 7 - A Sandwich in the Air - Great Hall - Everyone

Vanessa grabbed a bowl of pudding and launched it throguh the air. She laughed victoriously as it landed on top of Hunters head, "Hey Hunter! Heads up!"

Logan had absolutely no idea of what was happening. One second he'd been eating his dinner in peace up by the staff table, talking to some of the professors, enjoying good food and just having a great and relaxing time, and the next second, full chaos. A student, Gryffindor girl, had risen to her feet and shouted food fight, and the second later, that was just what was going on. Food everywhere.

Logan blinked and blinked. And blinked again as he watched the food fly to the roof and land at innocent and not-so-innocent victims. He noticed Hunter VanDerberg and Aoife O'Donnell joining in rather quickly, remembering those two pretty well. Still friends, it seemed. Then a thought struck Logan: why on earth hadn't this happened in his years at Hogwarts? He sighed, slightly disappointed by this fact, but when a bowl of nasty things was splashed all over Hunter and one of his friends, Logan fell back in his chair and started laughing. He couldn't really contain the laugh and raised an apologetic hand at any professors who might react to this.

He was pretty sure of one professor who wouldn't mind; professor Andre, the one all the students said was so brilliant. Logan still hadn't talked to the man, but then again, there were so many professors and colleagues he hadn't talked to that he almost felt bad. And then a piece of spaghetti was coming straight for him. His wand was out in a second, stopping it, but, in the process, the sauce on the spaghetti splattered around the staff table. Logan blinked for the fourth time in less than five minutes. And then he started laughing again.

Vanessa ran and hid underneath the Professors table. A bold move but effective. No one was aiming over here. She backed up a bit more and ended bumping into someones legs. She screamed and jumped up banging her head. She looked to see who she had bumped and saw the man from the Hospital wing, Mr. Stark she believed.

Okay, there was so much going on. Hunter couldn't figure out whether he wanted to watch everyone throwing food and getting hit or throw food himself. And he couldn't really do both too successfully. He caught sight of Blake throwing carrots at Aoife, and Aoife throwing potatoes back. Hunter rolled his eyes - those two really needed to learn how to get along.

Blake was actually doing pretty well for himself in the food fight. And it turned out that Hunter and Blake had similar ideas concerning Ariel. It was too perfect - Just a moment after Hunter doused her in pudding, Blake swooped in and dumped a load of deserts on her head. It was almost as though they'd planned it, but they hadn't. They were just that cool. "Awesome!" he complimented Blake when his friend retreated back toward him. "I've got your back," he grinned at Blake, suggesting that they ally together. But before he could actually turn around and get Blake's back, a waterfall of some disgusting mixture fell over his head. And Blakes. He looked up just in time to see Ariel jumping down from the bench and running away. "Fair enough!" he shouted after her good naturedly, tossing a handful of her own mixture in her direction.

He heard Blake start laughing, and as he wiped the mixture from his eyes he could see why. He burst into laughter as well at the sight of Blake, who was literally covered from head to toe in food. Hunter knew he must look the same. Having a laughing breakdown in the middle of the food fight certainly didn't increase their odds of coming out on top. But it was just too funny. Then, Blake took some of the ice cream from his shirt and ate it, and Hunter just couldn't handle it. "Don't - Don't eat it!" he gasped through his laughter. And someone had hit the staff table somehow. This couldn't get any better!

Just as she was about to hit Jen again with yet another plate of spaghetti, Lucy caught Vanessa sneaking up to the staff table. No! Running towards the staff table, which was surprisingly not very full, she quickly looked for Vanessa. Here she was again, taking care of a little kid so that they wouldn't lose any points. Although, of course, the whole fight might end up in the whole school getting detention of something along those lines. Finally, she found Vanessa when she heard the screaming and the bumping noise. "Darn it, Vanessa." Lucy muttered, heading towards the space in which a man she hadn't noticed before was. There was something oddly familiar about him, but she couldn't point it out immediately and she had no time to waste. Kneeling down, she grabbed Vanessa by her robes and helped her up. "I'm sorry, sir." Lucy apologized with every atom in her body. How embarrassing to have to deal with this in front of some random professor! "I'll take better care of her next time." she apologized again and turned to Vanessa, clearly waiting for her to do the same. She really just wanted to go back and beat Hunter's table, but Vanessa had gotten herself in a mess.
