| Before Hunter could respond to Aoife again, a sound went off like a cannon, causing him to jump. What the hell? Then, suddenly, confetti was everywhere and Aoife was giggling and Blake seemed irritated that the confetti was getting in his hair. Hunter shared a half confused, half amused look with his friend, and turned to see who had caused the scene as the confetti fluttered to the floor. A dark-skinned professor in a bright purple beret stood before them, beaming at everyone. Hunter couldn't help but grin at the excited look on the man's face.
"Er, is he talking to his desk?" Hunter asked Aoife under his breath as the professor stooped over his desk for a few moments. "Is that normal?" But it only lasted a few moments. The next moment, the professor had shot a spell at Aoife's hat to make it change colors. Naturally, Aoife loved it. Hunter laughed at her excitement.
Then, Lyn was coming in late. Hunter's eyes followed his sister with concern - she looked like she was about to cry. He watched intently to see how the professor reacted to her lateness - he'd heard that this professor didn't mind his students being late. He hoped, for Lyn's sake, that that was the case. He didn't seem mad at her, and was soon offering her and the rest of the class candy! "Yes, sweets!" Hunter exclaimed, taking his share of bertie botts and licorice wands when the bag of sweets came around. He tossed a few bertie botts into his mouth with a grin, deciding with the sweets that he definitely liked Professor LeBlanc.
That is, until Blake suggested Aguamenti as a charm, and before Hunter knew it he was being hit with a jet of water. Before he could even exclaim, the water was gone - but he was now soaking wet! But Hunter couldn't be angry - because this professor was too awesome! He wanted them to shoot each other with water now! Best class ever! Not wasting any time, Hunter aimed his wand at Aoife, who was sitting next to him, and said the charm determinedly - "Aguamenti!" He would get it right the first time, because if not it would be way less fun and Aoife would make fun of him. But thankfully it worked! Hopefully his aim was good!

| The Professor wasn't hard on her at all, and Lyn found herself very relieved. She managed a smile when the Professor lowered his voice to tell her that being lost wasn't that bad, and she was glad that he understood her embarrassment. When he shouted out loud, she jumped back a step or two and then saw Professor Leblanc pull out a bag of candy. He asked her to take some and pass it around, and Lyn nodded. She took some colourful sweet which she didn't know what was, gave the bag to some random student at the front and hurried over to her sister Lyra. Sitting down in her seat, Lyn took a bite of the candy she had taken and decided that she liked it. When she gobbled it down, she beamed at her sister and then looked up to see what was happening.
Hunter was getting hit by water! Lyn laughed when she saw her older brother get doused by water- and that teacher himself had done so! When the Professor told them all to take aim and fire, she quickly shot under her desk to search for her wand in her bag. Luckily, it hadn't snapped in half under the books. She found it, stood up, watched to see what the incantation was and then discreetly pointed it at Lyra. As soon as she heard Hunter say some weird words she knew that she had hit her jackpot. "Aguamenti!" Lyn muttered, concentrating really hard. A little bit of water shot out of her wand and flew at her sister.

| Aoife nodded in a very mature and understanding way when Monsieur Leblanc said that the spell was very advanced. One day, she'd be amazing at Charms and she would be able to do every spell ever invented, except the mean ones. Then she could start a sheep charity happily. Maybe there was a spell for helping injured or hungry sheep? Then the wizarding branch of her charity would be perfect. Unfortunately, the opportunity for suggesting spells seemed to be over, but there was always next time.
Then one of Hunter's sisters came in and seemed to be having a cosy little conversation with the professor. What was that about? Was Lyrette trying to overthrow her as Arithmancy teaching assistant? No, surely not. It was the Hufflepuff one...Lyn. Yes, definitely Lyn. So that couldn't be happening. Hufflepuffs were nice in general. All of them. Especially Willow, but she was gone now. Willow was nice. She missed Willow.
Anyway, back to the present. Aoife grinned when she saw Monsieur Leblanc blast Hunter suddenly with water. Water fight! She grinned, reaching for her wand to join in, while at the same time stuffing her mouth with sweets, but wasn't quick enough because that git Hunter had already got her! Holding back an amused smile, she glared at Hunter. It was hard not to smile when your head was drenched with freezing cold water though. It was a funny situation!
"Aguamenti!" she said enthusiastically, pointing her wand at her best friend, while he wasn't expecting it. Only a small dribble of water came slowly out of her wand and it didn't go anywhere near Hunter. Disappointed and embarrassed, she blushed furiously and didn't look at Hunter. It was just a small mistake. Wait...it had never happened. What? Fail? No, not at all. "Aguamenti!" she tried again, concentrating much harder, and was delighted to see water shoot from the tip of her wand. It might not have hit Hunter, though, since he might have heard her first attempt and be prepared.
Deciding she needed more practice, the redhead aimed her wand at Blake and muttered the spell, to more success. Then she tried again with the twins. There was more chance of hitting one of them there as her aim didn't have to be as precise as before. This was fun! She liked Monsieur Leblanc more and more every time she met him. True, Professor Fenech hadn't been so bad last year but this awesome Frenchman was so much better!

| "Yes, yes, marvelous!" Andre squeaked as the boy that he'd blasted with water went on to blast the wonderful little red-head with some water of his own. And he'd done a marvelous job with the spell! "Brilliant Monsieur VanDerberg!" he exclaimed happily, ducking behind his desk as water started flying everywhere from his little teaching assistant's wand as she retaliated, hitting the boy in the face. "Ah, monsieur, but surely you did not expect zis to go without payback from Mademoiselle O'Donnell!"
Even the timid little girl who had been late had managed to get the spell right! "Zis is marvelous!" he exclaimed to her as she shot some water at a nearly identical girl next to her. "Yes, everyone, zat is 'ow it is done! You should really get some kind of reward for zis amazing accomplishment!" WAIT! Andre COULD give them a reward! Because he was a teacher. "AHA!" he shouted. "I 'ave forgotten zat I am ze teacher, and zat I can award you points for your 'ouses!" Oh, how exciting!
"So let us see... I zink zat so far, ten points to 'ufflepuff are in order! Five for completing ze charm so well, and five for managing to become lost, which is ze best state to be in! Well done!" Beaming, Andre continued to look around the room and tried to figure out who to give points to next. "'ow about... five points to Monsieur VanDerberg for being ze first to do ze charm. And five points to Mademoiselle O'Donnell for not only figuring out ze charm but for using it so many times in such a short period of time! And..." He was on a roll! He couldn't just stop giving out points now! It felt way too cool. "Oh, but of course!" he squeaked. "Five points to Monsieur Ralston for zinking of such a brilliant charm!" Honestly. Andre wouldn't have thought of something that cool.
"Continue!" he said brightly. "I will dry you all when ze fun is over!" That was, if Andre could remember the spell to dry them off. He was drawing a blank, but maybe he'd come up with something by the time they'd finished playing with water.

| Blake was starting to regret his suggestion of the water spraying charm. He was also not very confident in the professor's ability of being able to dry them all off and seen as the Gryffindor common room was such a trek away there was no way he'd make it and have time to change before the next class. With this in mind, Blake made sure to shift his seat a few inches away from Hunter once the professor had decided to use him as a guinea pig.
And then chaos broke out and Blake was tempted to duck under his desk for a bit. He really wasn't in the mood for getting wet. He had already had confetti in his hair and that was certainly enough for one day. Blake dodged as water spurted out of Hunter's wand and splashed off of Aoife. He had to laugh at her wet demeanor though as her red hair was dripping wet. Hunter had pulled off the spell quite well.
Blake was watching as the twins were practicing on one another when next thing he was being doused with water and Blake suppressed a groan. He had nearly lasted the class! He wiped his wet hair out of his eyes as his his hair now stuck to his scalp. Professor Leblanc encouraged them to keep practicing so he rounded on the the two Gryffindor's not knowing which one to blame and forcefully said "Aguamenti!" Successfully dousing both Hunter and Aoife in more water.

| Charms was one class Oliver was definitely looking forward to! He wanted to learn as many awesome spells as possible, so that he could later used them on Matthew and play pranks on his parents. Finding his way to the Charms classroom was much easier than finding his way to the rest of the classes. He knew he was late, very late indeed, and he would probably lose more points from Hufflepuff than he'd ever gained, but that was irrelevant! He just wanted to get to class as fast as he could. His cheek had healed from his little fight with the tree by the grounds, but there was a small line that let him know the plant had definitely attacked him. Slightly rubbing the small, almost invisible scar, Oliver walked into his classroom.
There were people all over the place! Kids older than him, smaller than him, taller than him, and stranger than him. He took as much as he could from the various scenes, the laughs and smiles that charmed the classroom. He couldn't believe it! Almost instantly, his face lit up and a smile crossed his face. He was going to have so much fun! However, just as he remembered to look for a professor, Oliver read over his schedule quickly to remember the man's name. "Le Blanc." Oliver muttered before looking up to find the taller, or older, looking person in the room. His blue eyes settled on the dark-skinned man with the super friendly smile. "Profe-?" Oliver was about to speak when he was shot with a jet of water. It was clean water, of course, but it was water nonetheless. In just a second, Oliver had been drenched in cold water by some unknown force. His eyes stung a little as he had been hit directly, but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle. It was like mild soap had gotten in his eyes while he took a shower. His brown hair was now sticking to his head, making him look even smaller and much more puny than before. His robes were sticking to his body, too, and he couldn't be more embarrassed. Still, it was a hilarious situation! So naturally, Oliver let out a big, loud laugh before turning around to see who was guilty and found a boy with shaggy hair who couldn't be more than a year older than him. "You've got to teach me that one!" Oliver beamed.
