BACKGROUND

Family background and description (Not too detailed but do not make it short): Blake never knew his family growing up, he was abandoned the day he was born without a penny or even a name. He never went in search for them as there was nowhere to begin searching. He has had plenty of foster parents and siblings, but none he would call family.

Personal history (what happened to your character until his current age, at least a paragraph about this, also this section requires to be constantly updated): Blake grew up in different foster homes, being sent from home to home constantly, resulting in little consistency in his childhood and altering his personality for the worse. He was moved about due to his temper (which gradually grew further and further out of control) and nobody wanted to shoulder the responsibility of nurturing the troubled boy. Another contributing factor was the fact that odd occurrences happened whenever Blake was involved in altercations. He found it hard to control his temper and as a result kettles blew up, beds went on fire and things went missing. Blake couldn't account for any of these actions and was sent on his way to a new foster home after new foster home.

When Blake received his letter, he thought it was some kind of practical joke and wasn't going to reply. The letter caused a lot of conflict in his life, eating him up inside and disturbing his dreams frequently. Blake never slept so soundly before until he sent a reply back accepting his place in Hogwarts. Blake had never heard of magic before, never even setting his eyes on a muggle magic set but it brought new happiness and hope into his life. Something that was long void from his life. Blake had dreamt of mysterious family members coming and saving him from his poverty stricken, repetitive, mundane life but never had he imagined escape and solace in the form of a letter.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

Physical Appearance (what your character looks like: this will help others visualize him or her while role-playing): Blake is average height, with mousy brown hair and striking pale blue eyes. He is skinnier than most boys his age, due to the poverty and lack of care he has grown up surrounded by. When he first arrives at Hogwarts he has a slight grey sickly hue to his skin, which soon disappears due to his healthier environment.

Personality (strengths, weaknesses, traits, flaws, interests, what does he or she love? hate? write a bit about each) Blake has learned to adapt and has shouldered a lot of responsibility throughout his life. Due to this he is a lot more mature in most ways compared to his peers. Blake is also very short tempered, he has the tendency to act first and think about his actions later (normally in detention or when he's been seriously chastised). Blake finds it easy to make friends, but hard to trust due to his upbringing where he floated from one foster home to another. Although Blake has had a rough upbringing he has an abundance of confidence and doesn't shy away from large social gatherings. He enjoys making new friends and getting to know new people, as long as they are hospitable towards him. Blake also has a rebellious and carefree side where he likes to enjoy and live life to the fullest. He may not always make the right decisions, but he tends not to regret them. Blake also flourishes in new surroundings and adapts quickly (being used to moving from place to place). Blake enjoys dabbling in a variety of activities; sports, reading, listening to music and even cooking (although he'd be hard pressed to admit it). He has few pet hates, bar one which is very significant to him. He hates cowardliness and disloyalty in a person. Therefore, Blake is very loyal and will do almost anything for his close friends and he expects the same in return
