I had the most interesting meeting with one Jeremy Rufford - Minister for Magic - today. I couldn't help shake the feeling that he wanted to talk about my interests in the dark arts, but was unsure if he could do so safely. He is the Minister for Magic after all..

I didn't spend too much time with that subject though, had to keep my eyes on the prize of course. He got me permission to visit my father in Azkaban. I meant to go do that this afternoon but I think I'll wait a bit. After 25 years I don't think another couple days could hurt,

I had my first lesson today, some of the students showed promise. Others...well lets just say they would have been better off being Squibs. Two younger students came in late, both, of course, Gryffindors. Those pompous arses. Gave them both detention.

Talked about purebloods and blood status, it seemed to put some of them on edge. But I don't care, need to separate the mudbloods from the purebloods and put everyone back in their rightful place.

Well I think I fancy a drink, and I need to find a way to get my chair to spin.
