| Ever since he came out flying here with Maya, the Quidditch Pitch was Kynan's favourite place to go when he was bored. As long as other Quidditch teams weren't practising. Sometimes he went down there for practise with the Gryffindor Quidditch team but, in his opinion, just flying is better than Quidditch. So that afternoon, Kynan ran down to the Pitch and headed straight to the broom cupboard as usual. He picked out a random broom, went outside, and mounted it. And then he took off. The difference between watching someone fly and actually flying is huge. Watching someone fly, you can only imagine the excitement and amazing time that the person is having. Flying itself is a totally different thing- the lovely feeling that you can just do anything. And Kynan loved that feeling. He flew around in circles, did dives and just flew. This is open to Ryder Anderson, Alyssa McLennen and anyone else who wishes to join. | |

| It had been way too long since Alyssa had escaped the castle. The moment potions class ended, she bolted from the room and swung around the corner to retrieve her broom from her dormitory. She grinned as she gripped the oak handle of her Comet 260 and slung it over her shoulder. She tucked her quaffle under her arm and hurried back into the corridor and made her way to the large wooden doors that opened into the grounds. Pushing one open and slipping through the crack, she exited the castle and emerged into the entrance courtyard. Propping her broom up against the stone wall beside her and setting her quaffle on the ground, she flipped her head over to tie her hair on top of her head.
When she'd secured her long, blonde locks, she grabbed her broom again. She didn't wait until she was at the Quidditch Pitch, but rather threw her right leg over her broom the moment she'd escaped the courtyard, a rare smile that was reserved only for flying lighting up her face as she rose into the air. She leaned forward, gripping the handle with one hand and holding the red ball under her left arm. Her broom shot forward, and she sped toward the Pitch. It only took her moments to reach it, and as she flew up and over the wall, she saw that there was already somebody there.
A dark-haired boy was flying around the Pitch. A quick glance around told Alyssa that he was alone, and she continued forward, keeping her distance from the boy. She watched him for a moment as she flew a warm-up lap, and nodded in approval as he threw himself into several loops and dives with decent form. Perhaps he was a seeker? Turning her attention away from the boy, she began practicing her shots, tossing the quaffle through the rings at different distances. She grinned as she made a particularly difficult shot by curving the quaffle through the right ring, and took off to retrieve the red ball from where it had landed. She was so focused on what she was doing that she had almost forgotten that she wasn't alone. |
