Career Advice

Owen glanced around the Entrance Hall: most of the adults had already arrived, though some were still yet to be found. He had arranged for some of the better professions to come help guide the students, as for a lack of Head of Houses prohibited from having regular career advice with their head of house. He turned to Sandra, Deputy Headmistress, and gave her a small smile, "They're growing up."

Corinna stood alongside the other teachers and watched the students assemble.  In her opinion, Hogwarts mollycoddled its students.  Durmstrang would never have wasted precious learning time giving career advice.  Once you left the Festung, you were expected to fend for yourself.

Mordred walked up the road to Hogwarts. It had been a long time since he walked in through those gates, but Mordred wasn't one for nostalgia. He wondered if maybe he'd see his daughter now, but he supposed not. She wouldn't have been invited, but he could always schedule a deal with her later. He found himself outside the doors and he pushed open one of them, looking into the entrance hall.

He saw students milling around and professors standing there ready. Career advice? Mordred Gaunt giving career advice. He knew what Morgana would say to that. "You're gonna break their dreams and future prospects." He almost smiled at the thought. Though he'd never admit it, he was looking forward to the summer and having her sarcastic wit back in the house.

He positioned himself on his own, always the lone wolf, and preferring it that way. He looked at the headmaster and waited impatiently for the point of this to be started.
