Beauxbatons and Durmstrang Changes (IMPORTANT, EVERYONE READ!)

BEAUXBATONS AND DURMSTRANG CHANGES!

Hi guys! As you all know, at the beginning of last term, we opened both Beauxbatons and Durmstrang for roleplay. After evaluating the activity of both schools last term, the admin team has decided to implement a few changes.

Most importantly, since the posting activity at both schools was slightly less than we had anticipated, we've decided to close Beauxbatons for the time being, and focus our efforts primarily on Durmstrang.

Please read the following carefully, and then fill out the form at the bottom of the post and PM it to me on Hunter VanDerberg!

WHAT THIS MEANS:

1. Beauxbatons students will now become a part of Durmstrang.

You may choose to either drop your Beauxbatons student entirely and create a new character (if you wish), or have your current student character implemented into Durmstrang.
Those students who are moved to Durmstrang are to act as though they have gone to school there all along. We ask that these character's applications are edited to remove references to France and the surrounding area. Please change your character's heritage to something appropriate for Durmstrang (Norway and the surrounding areas).
Any threads that take place in Beauxbatons should be edited to remove references to Beauxbatons school, france, etc, if those references exist. If a thread does not explicitly reference Beauxbatons, it will be moved to Durmstrang. Otherwise, it will be archived out of sight with the rest of Beauxbatons school.
Your character will need to be sorted according to Durmstrang's Sorting Ceremony. Please post there at the earliest opportunity so that we can quickly get your character involved!

2. Beauxbatons professors may either be dropped, become normal adults, or may choose to take a job instead at Durmstrang. Similarly, if your professor character becomes a Durmstrang professor, please make sure there are no inconsistencies in their application.

3. We are now, for a limited time, accepting Durmstrang student characters up to FIFTH YEAR!

New Durmstrang students may be created as a first, second, third, fourth or fifth year, and currently existing students from both schools may adjust their age.
To keep things even, we will be allowing three students per year, for the time being, and would prefer that those students are not all of the same gender. Once we get some responses concerning existing/new students and years, we will be compiling a list detailing filled and open spots for you to reference. Be aware that the year you want your character to be in may be filled, and you may be asked to place them in a different year.
There is no limit on first year characters.
Please keep in mind that if you create older student characters, those characters are likely to know each other! Your fifth year characters that are in the same house are not meeting for the first time five years later. Please take the time to establish basic relationships outside of your threads in the case of characters who are not first years![/b]

4. We are allowing a limited number of current Hogwarts students to transfer to Durmstrang in one of two ways!

As a permanent transfer. Permanent transfers will fulfill the rest of their education at Durmstrang school instead of Hogwarts.
As an exchange student. Exchange students will spend one term at Durmstrang and then return to Hogwarts for the remainder of their years.
Be aware that your character may be denied transfer or exchange.

We're hoping that by making the above changes, we can make Durmstrang an active and fun addition to the forum! What I need from you guys is for anyone who has a Durmstrang student, Beauxbatons Student, Beauxbaton's teacher, or Hogwarts student who they would like to transfer to please fill out the form below and PM it to me. You can fill it out for all of your characters at once, just be sure to specify which characters you are referring to so that we can be sure to get the changes right! If any part of the form doesn't apply to you, simply leave it blank!
