| Lucia had been in another meeting with Owen Gray, which had proved very interesting. Apparently, Ariel Wilde had started the group of students to train them in dueling. Lucia knew they’d have to bring in a professor at some point, because even if miss Wilde might be a skilled witch, it did not mean she would know how to duel in a sufficient way. For now, the group was about practicing spells, as far as Lucia had gathered. But during the meeting with the headmaster, it had become apparent that he wanted there to be some professors in on the groups as well, though as few meetings as possible. The question of whom to ask was evidently harder for Owen than it had been for Lucia. For Lucia, the choice of the defense against the dark arts professor was the obvious one. But it seemed as if Owen was still scorned and cautious after the incident with one of the last professors they’d had in the class. Lucia didn’t want to think more on that. She was still angry that she’d fallen in love with a reaper. And hurt, of course. Very hurt. She couldn’t pretend as if she still didn’t love him, but it had been years since she last saw him, and she hoped that she never would. Or rather, she hoped that in the near future, she would honestly not want to see him again.
But Lucia didn’t want to think about him, so when she left the staircase behind the gargoyle and walked into the hallways, she found the way to the professors’ quarters easily. After having discussed the possible professors for a while, Owen had finally agreed to bring Peter Sexton on board. So she walked the shortcuts she knew to get to his office. She wondered briefly what he might think of the situation she was about to put him in, since he wasn’t a member of the order yet. She’d have to convince him of joining the order first, before even talking about the students. She was sure he’d want to help, and she’d insisted to ask him to Owen, and the headmaster had decided to trust her decision. Peter Sexton, although she’d not spoken much with him, was not someone who wouldn’t want to help. He just hadn’t know where to help yet. She hoped he’d have time to. After all, classes did take their time.
She finally reached his office, and only then did she remember how awful she was at actually talking to her co-workers. She had to smile at her own laziness and lifted her hand, knocking on the oaken door. She was curious to see his expression when he opened the door. She was also trying to find the right words to use. After all, this wasn’t a light conversation, this was a conversation about whether or not the person was willing to put their life on the line and help fight a group of very magically adept dark wizards. And who better than the DaDA professor, right?

| To say that Peter was done with the school year would be an understatement. Peter was more than done with the school year. Mostly, he was done with the students. They were irresponsible, always late - and not to mention that some of them couldn't be bothered to show up at all - their abilities had lost the sharpness they once had and Peter was done. If they wanted to get Ts or Ps or anything of the sort, that was their issue. Peter was not going to give them any second chances. Well, he would give them to the younger ones but not to the older ones - they should know better. Walking around the Staff Room, Peter slammed the cupboard shut - he was beyond disappointed - when the timer for his tea beeped. Gathering his things, which consisted of only a folder with now unnecessary lesson plans and a journal possible, in-the-works lesson plans that he would now archive at the end of the drawer in his office. The kids didn't seem to want an education, so Peter was not going to give them an education.
The walk to his office was faster than usual, the cup in his hand leaving a trail of chamomile and hibiscus. With his hopes down, Peter was vaguely aware of another set of steps echoing through the hallways. He didn't have time to socialize much, thus he knew only Inés and Andre. He wouldn't be surprised if it was the French man who was walking around, probably doing something offbeat - as the man often did. His lips curled into a grin as he remembered Andre's fantastic outfit at the Halloween dance. Fantastic with a capital F. However, his brow furrowed ever so slightly when he noticed it was not Andre - or Inés - walking around the Professor's Hallway. It was instead the Potions professor, Lucia Henley. Peter had seen her around, introduced himself before, typical co-worker stuff. Even more to his surprise, she was headed towards his door. Ah, maybe she needed materials. Except Peter didn't have anything to give her. No plants, no disgusting slobbery pus from those worms he always forgot the name of. Nothing. Peter didn't need ingredients.
Shrugging to himself, Peter spoke up. "Hey." His voice always friendly, Peter took a second to nod at the professor. "Sorry. Tea." He looked down at the hot drink in his left hand. With the folder and journal under his arm, Peter walked in front of Lucia Henley to be better able to open the door to his office. As he did so, Peter pushed it open for the woman. "It may be a bit of a mess as well - I don't remember what it looked like when I left." That was a fact, not an exaggeration. His office had always been a mess. The desk in the middle of the room had worn edges, discolored. There were books scattered around the whole place - opened at the strangest parts. The only portrait around was of his mother and Inés, hanging above a bookshelf that contained objects Peter had not exactly touched before. He had a collection of strange trinkets he had found around Knockturn Alley, purely for the pleasure of collecting them.
Peter placed the cup of tea on his desk before taking some of the books from one of the red-tinted leather seats and turning to the woman. "Lucia Henley, yes?" His smile returned, "How may I help you?" He stood for a second before realizing he hadn't yet offered her a seat. "Oh, please." He said as he offered her a seat before moving to his side of the desk.
