Little Bit of Peace (Rhys)

Cece usually did a lot of travelling on foot. Being unable to apparate or drive meant she only had one other option, flying. But walking was good, it would keep her fit. She liked going to wonderful new places and exploring the glorious British countryside but she did still have her favourite places. Forests and woods and this lake. It was called Deepwater Lake and it was usually a good place to sit and think and very rarely occupied by another. After a long, long walk she reached the place at last.

There were some rocks on one side, right next to the lake. She sat down on the one on the edge and pulled off her shoes. She had a thing for being barefoot. And from here she could dip her feet in the water. It was freezing. She winced, but the temperature soon didn't seem so bad. It was peaceful and silent, with the exception of a couple of birds singing. But before long it was interrupted by the sound of footsteps through the long grass.
